Checking in was ok but things went downhill from there. The room was fine but unfortunately there was a rave in the one next door. I had two people trying to get in my room instead of the one next door. The toilet in my room had also not been flushed. I went to reception to get a room change and the receptionist was very helpful and got me a new room which was quieter. It wasn't very clean though. One of the drawers was full of crumbs. On the second day i was unable to get in my room. I went to reception and waited 10 minutes for someone to appear. They sorted it out quickly. Overall it was not great and i wouldn't return.

Arrived just after 2.30 was shown through hotel hadcto go outside then back through another door along corridors whuch were in need of or getting repairs done uo 2 flights if stairs Room was clean and tidy with twin beds for my daughter and myself Every time you moved on bed bed slid across floor had to put scarf and cousons on floor to stop sliding Bedroom bedsid cabinet drawers would not stay shut Dont know if floor was on a slant or not and they were badly marked and so was walls behind lamp Shower doors 🚪 woul not shut but fir what we paid it was aduquite for our 1 night stay got woken up around 3am with people going uo and diwn stairs and again just after 4am very loudly shouting and thumping Outside front door was covered with ciggarette ends

1960's Britain.
The hotel is undergoing renovation. As a single man I am not too fussy, as long as I get a good night sleep, a good shower and friendly service, which I did. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful. If youre looking for a cheap night away and not expecting The Ritz, then it's spot on.

Perfect when working away
Clean, quiet, cheap and within 10 min walk of city centre for plenty of good places to eat. Free Wifi that wasnt too slow and a tv that ypu can use your netflix youtube etc on. Had everything I ask for when working away. Will be using fo the next month.
