fantastic
It was a nice experience to stayed at los cobanos village lodge, the hospitality was great ,next time I go to los cobanos I will make arrengments to stay there again
The hotel was small and peaceful.. Located right on the beach in a small fishing village. If you don't speak Spanish I wouldn't recommend this place because it's remote and you'd have a hard time communicating.
If you're looking to get away from it all, I recommend this spot. If you're looking for something more "resorty", this isn't the place.

Good and bad
The owner and people who run the place are very friendly and helpful. Don't bother getting the air-conditioning. Rooms are OK - the bedding is weak. Beautiful beaches nearby, but it is a poor fishing village and the smoke from cooking/trash burning was a bit annoying. The pool is small, in a cute little courtyard. We enjoyed our stay, but the pictures on the site do make it seem a bit nicer than we found it.
the airconditioned room I puchased had window panes that would not close and other windows with missing panes. I was expecting to have a tv in my room but did not have 1. Was disappointing.

Horrible service
I stayed at this hotel in March of 2016 with my husband. Although we liked the large, beachfront rooms, the service was absolutely terrible. It took almost 2 hours for lunch to be served because the waitstaff were all seated trying to watch a soccer game. We thought service would improve when the game was over but they were always sitting down talking and look annoyed when people would try to get their attention for another beer or something to eat. You could see a big difference between the owner being around and when he was not. If the owner was not there, the staff just sat down and let guests fend for themselves. I saw people getting their own beers constantly.
They let a large group of 8 - 10 people drink beer and do shots all night in the tiny pool. I never saw one person go to the bathroom ever - it was disgusting.
The beach in front is not swimmable in many areas.
Prices are very high for food and drink but they don't accept credit/debit cards, cash only. There is no ATM in the town to take out money either.
La comodidad de las habitaciones no es acorde al precio, las colonias que rodean el Hotel es similar a un mercadito, y es necesario invertir más dinero en el mantenimiento mismo del hotel.
