We stayed 2 years ago and were very happy with resort. This time with renovations most of what we enjoyed previously were closed. Most restaurants were not available, concierge making little efforts to accommodate with exception of Leo and Omar who were friendly and helpful. Will not plan to come back to this particular resort

My family and I had the best time at Grand Sirenis! The resort is wonderful in every aspect. We loved the beach and lazy river. The food was also really good. Lots of options to choose from. The shows at night were very well put together with really talented dancers. Another highlight was getting to see the dolphins onsite! Special shoutout to Ricardo at the front desk. He was so kind and helpful, making sure we had a great stay. Also, Erik in the main dinning hall was excellent. He's there for breakfast and lunch. The best waiter at the resort, so attentive and friendly! My only con would be the main concierge of our building. He was not very helpful and was barely there. Overall we had a great stay. They made us feel extra special for booking with Expedia. We would definitely recommend the Grand Sirenis :)

Had a wonderful vacation. Booked 2 rooms w/ double beds for 4 people. To have connected rooms we settled for a king bed in one room & double beds in the other. Rooms were spacious & renovated. AC worked better in one room than the other but manageable with the ceiling fans and open doors for circulation. Good shower pressure, HBO channels on TV. Beach is clean & calm, no waves no sargassum problem! Beach has rocky coral at the entrance but the sand is soft beyond that. Beach chairs need updating. Pools were refreshing, with no need to reserve. Thereā€™s a quiet pool and a pool with activities. Lazy river was so fun, though more new floats would be better. Plenty of activities which we enjoyed especially bingo/music trivia and pool aerobics with Gigi, Yessica, Papi Chulo, and Jerry. Only downside was difficulty getting restaurant reservations due to closures and limited options. Buffet was good and drinks were excellent. Sit under the vents if you want to feel AC. Maid service every day we had a different towel animal it was so mindful. We loved the wildlife - raccoons , sereque, coati, monkeys, cats, pelicans, fish, iguanas, lizards. Cabanas could use hooks to keep belongings safe from animals. Easily walkable resort (we walked to the turtle beach) and shuttles are available. Free hydrotherapy session at spa was a nice bonus. We had such a pleasant time and would return.

The rooms at this hotel are dilapidated and could use a total renovation. The showers and tubs need to be thoroughly cleaned and reglazed. The A/C isn't consistent and the rooms are all moist and have a moist smell that's impossible to ignore. The staff were friendly.

Our 3rd time at Sirenis... it was phenomenal! From the moment we checked in we felt the love from the Guest Service... Ricardo, Diana and Marlene. I don't have enough words to thank Marlene for the exceptional attention she gave us. She made us feel extra special, like family! Marlene assisted with an ocean view room upgrade plus booked the specialty restaurants and the hydrotherapy spa for us. Her team kept checking on us during our stay. Ivan, Mauro, Diana and Marlene (pampering us everywhere) were waiting at the different specialty restaurants to welcome us. The drinks at the Lobby bar were excellent... thank you MartĆ­n and Luis (who also served us at the beach bar). We loved Casa Alma! Miguel was so welcoming and Alfredo's service was excellent. The food was extraordinary delicious. It was our favourite! A warm thanks to waiters Marcelino and Jose at the lobby buffet. Loved their service. The Spa was wonderful and Rafael was simply awesome! We had a blast at the spa! Sirenis grounds is beautiful and well maintained and even though they are undergoing major repairs, it was barely noticeable. The pools including the lazy pool were big and clean. The ocean was beautiful, a little rough but that's mother nature's call. We always found lounge chairs both at the pool and by the beach. Many bars and plenty fresh delicious food all over. This vacation was one of the best ever thanks to Marlene, her team and all the staff. Every employee at the resort made our vacation

A lot of trying to sell timeshares and memberships. Definitely limited for regular guests and half the property and amenities were only available for certain memberships, depending on your wristband color including shuttle services, food items and certain restaurants and bars on property

Half of the complex was closed due to renovations, also some activities like the disco were cancelled with no notice at all, happened to me twice in 7 days. Due to the renovations, dining/restaurants availability was limited so we could only make reservations for 3 out of the 7 days we stayed there. The resort is huge and the wait for transport inside of it is around 15-20 minutes. This is way too much wait for a resort. Lastly, all the pools/water activities close at 7 PM, this seems way too early. Overall, it is decent place, but I think it in no way reflects the cost.

Pros - beach was great. There a section where there were a ton of fish around you - pools were great but could add some music - lazy river was great - most of the staff are friendly - lots of animals around the resort Cons - food had no taste. No authenticity - room had a smell - room had a ton of ants inside - drinks werent the greatest - check in process was too long. Took around 25 minutes a person/family - a la carte food wasnt great

The staff were nice and attentive; the bad part was the lack of time slots for the a la carte restaurants. We were told basically we would have to eat at the buffet every day. The only two restaurants we were able to get reservations for were the Italian and French restaurant.
