COTTAGE OF THE ANCHOR IN THE HEART OF ALBERT

Our carefully decorated cottage will be the ideal place for a stay with family, friends or for a business trip. It is ideally located in the heart of Albert, close to shops, the Somme 1916 museum and the basilica with a breathtaking view of the Golden Virgin. Located in a quiet street, at the bottom of a pretty green garden, you will find all the modern comfort to stay there in peace.
We love traveling, opening a gîte was important to us and this opportunity presented itself last year when we acquired this house and its former medical practice in the garden, which we completely rehabilitated as a gîte in a country chic spirit.
The kitchen has all the modern equipment you need, from the silent dishwasher to the traditional oven + microwave, pod machine for hot drinks, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, induction hob to fridge freezer.
In the living room, a connected TV, board games, brochures on the various memory and tourist sites will allow you to occupy your stay in Picardy. Free INTERNET access will allow you to stay in touch with those around you (WIFI code on the Box) during your stay with us.
Our three bedrooms all benefit from a beautiful exposure to the sun and have been carefully decorated for a pleasant rest.
On the ground floor, a master suite with a 160 x 200 bed and a private (Italian) shower room will delight you in its sun tones.
Upstairs, a first bedroom with 3 90 x 200 beds and a connected TV will welcome you in the freshness of its gray and white tones.
A second bedroom in lavender tones, has 2 90 x 200 twin beds and nice furniture in a romantic style. It is also equipped with a connected TV.
You will also have a laundry room in which a washing machine, a drying rack, an iron and an iron are at your disposal for the maintenance of your clothes. A cot and a baby bath, as well as a high chair are also available for your little ones.
Outside, you will benefit from a large terrace equipped with a garden furniture for 8 people, a barbecue in order to enjoy good times in a green setting. Deckchairs will welcome you for a well-deserved rest when you return from your Picardy getaways.
We will be happy to send you the memorial sites that surround our beautiful Picardy region. Located one hour from the Bay of Somme and 30 minutes from Amiens, you will have the choice between a day at the beach or in the Picardy capital which will surprise you with its cultural richness (Amiens Cathedral, Maison Jules Verne .. ) or its pretty floating gardens "les Hortillonnages". A Picardy stay combining culture, tourism, history and relaxation, that's what not to be bored in Somme!

A very happy second time around!
This is the second time we have brought friends and stayed at The Cottage. It is ideally placed for visiting the WW1 battlefields and Albert. It was very clean, warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Anne is a very good host, was ready to help with our stay and without hesitation, I recommend this property.

Albert and Somme area
Lovely property, beautifully renovated to a high specification. Private garden with sitting area. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The house is situated in the centre of Albert, not far from the Somme museum.

A wonderful gite, clean with modern fixtures and fittings. Beds comfortable and the house was warm. Everything we needed was there. Parking was inside the gate, secure and safe. Anne was very welcoming, it was a pleasure to meet her. We explored the WW1 battlefields and Albert was the perfect place to stay. Thank you.

Great Cottage in Albert
I had a great experience in this property. The cottage had plenty of space and perfect for a large family or group. The courtyard and cottage gave the feel for being in the country while still being in the near center of Albert, with plenty of restaurants, shops and attractions nearby. This is a perfect place to use as a base for touring the Somme Battlefields.

Modern apartment in a quaint old town
We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment is new and bright and right in the heart of Albert. The lovely hostess was on hand to make out stay comfortable. We used it as a base to visit some WW1 battlefield sites and to honour a number of ancestors who fought on The Somme between 1914 and 1918. We also did a day trip to Ypres for the same reason.

Mooi, centraal gelegen huis
Huis ligt heel centraal, maar ook rustig. Op loopafstand van het museum 1916 en de kathedraal . Vriendelijk ontvangen en we mochten parkeren op het terrein. Prima bedden en kussens. Erg leuk verblijf gehad!
