Beautiful house and property
In the middle of the woods. Deer and their fawns right in front of the house. Amazing views. Lots of birds. 20 mins away from Jim Thorpe downtown. The deck was gorgeous and there was an outdoor TV. The only down side it was the sheets were not changed, lots of dust on furniture and dust bunnies under beds. The toilets, the tubs, the bathrooms in general and kitchen needed more TLC. Otherwise our stay was pleasant.

The cottage itself was okay, but there were several items in disrepair- closet and bedroom doors not on hinges, the beds were extremely uncomfortable- the twins had metal pieces they could be felt, the double was very loud and the upstairs bed had the footboard unattached making it difficult to get in and out. The upstairs bathroom was extremely hot . Could be much nicer with easy improvements.

Nice area. Great for our short trip
We were just there for 2 nights to see a nearby show and the day after to just relax and enjoy a day away from home. The house was good. It's priced accordingly, as it's not real big and not much to do there. I would appreciate when a house has cameras outside, if they let that be known in the description. Kinda creepy. TV and ceiling fans on the deck were a nice touch. Location is nice and private. No close by neighbors and the area was really nice. We got in a little early and had a great lunch not far away and drove into Lake Harmony the following morning and had a great breakfast. Nascar track is close by if you're a fan. I would recommend the house for a 3 to 4 day trip or a couple nights, like we did. Might not be much to do for a longer trip unless maybe you're skiing and would be busy doing that.

Place needs some TLC
Beds were uncomfortable. No screen in upstairs bedroom so unable to open the window for air. Bedroom door on room with twin beds was torn off its hinges and had nails sticking out. The hot and cold water faucets in the upstairs powder room are backwards. Towels had holes in them and two of the bath towels were tub mats not towels. Would not plan on going back.

A bit cold
We enjoyed our stay for the most part. It was close to Jim Thorpe for wine tasting and breweries. When we arrived, it was very cold and took most of the day to warm up. The front door was drafty. With some uodates to the heating, it would have been 5 stars. It looks like a lot of fun in the soring and summer. With good friends and yummy beverages we still had a blast!
