I had great stay, the only thing they use to have a shuttle to the metro before covid, I wish they bring it back the walk to the Van Dorn Street station isn't that bad because it is all down hill but from the station to the Hotel is a tough walk because of the long uphill walk

The price was good and staff were helpful. However, the infrastructure is old. One of the two elevators has been out of commission for months. The shower is old and has a clunky and confusing temperature control. Do not get a street side room. There is a hill with a stop light directly in front of the hotel with alot of traffic noise during the night. Be careful when making a left hand turn out of the hotel as visibility is poor on the left side.

My room was good and clean. The bathroom was ok, however the toilet was loose, so it rocked each time I sat down on it. Also, other guests smoked marijuana in the elevators, although they weren't in the elevator when I boarded, the smell was very pronounced and unpleasant.

The location was good. But, our room, with the beds' headboards, was right against the elevator shaft. And yes, it was loud. If you stay there, make sure to request a room away from the elvator. We stayed for 4 nights. TWO of those days the elevator was not working at all for several hours, about 2 to 2.5 hours. We were on the 7th floor. We had to drag our luggage up and down twice. Walk up and down. Without luggage it was already a workout, but not with luggage! They did not even post the out of order signs until a long time later. Breakfast was just okay, times not convenient for a holiday weekend, ended even on a holiday at 9 am.

We were going to a Commanders game the next day and this is located perfectly off of 495. The hotel is a little worn, but the staff was friendly and the bed was comfortable. All we needed!

First the good: the location was safe and quiet. We drove up on Thanksgiving Day and unlike other places, it was quiet and without any vagrants walking around. However, our toilet started running at about 10 PM. When I called to have it fixed, they had no one on duty to fix it. I get that it’s Thanksgiving but they should have someone available to address such common problems. To their credit, they did offer to give us another room. But it was Thanksgiving evening and we were settled in. So we messed around with the toilet and fixed it temporarily. Then, in the morning, it didn’t flush right after I did my business. They did send someone up at the time but it was awkward. Fixing it the night before would have mitigated the problem.
