We have stayed in Melia hotels previously but felt this one was somewhat lacking. On check-in, the receptionist was polite but not particularly friendly or welcoming. She did her job and that was about all!
The room was fine but not charming.
Breakfast was a big issue for us. Although, on walking into the restaurant, the array of food looked fantastic, plates were cold, despite being in a warming tray - perhaps this was because we were in attendance promptly at 7:30 and they had not had a chance to warm up. The toaster was useless. We put the bread through it 3 times, as other people were doing, but it still didn’t toast it! Coffee was poor. By the time we sat down to eat the breakfast was cold. Why is it that a large, reputable hotel cannot get the basics of breakfast right? We did not enjoy the experience one bit.
Thankfully we were only staying one night, prior to flying home. We would not recommend this hotel!
