Beautiful resort set away in large grounds
This is a new hotel set in a calm, out of the way natural area in hundreds of hectares of land. It’s beautiful and the rooms are large and well appointed. There’s a stunning infinity pool with underwater seats and a far away view of the ocean. This could be a wonderful SPA hotel where to unwind, rest, hike etc. Indeed we were told there’s a plan to create a dedicated, adults only yoga/spa area, as the current one is pretty, but too small. The hotel will definitely benefit by having a children playground and or adult-only areas, to make it more serene for those who do not travel with children and seek to enjoy the natural, quiet beauty of the area. There’s the lost stunning coastline with up he, dramatic cliffs and rock formations about 20 mins drive away, not too be missed.

Beautifully designed and elegant hotel. Very peaceful location which must be just as beautiful in the winter. Yoga was ok, not great. Other activity advertised (guided biking tour) was not available during my stay. Restaurant service was very disappointing (definitely not 5 star). Restaurant staff needs training.

Stunning property located in a 220 hectare nature park on the beautiful Vincentine Coast of the Algarve. You have miles of hiking and mountainabike trails just steps from your room. The grounds are truly beautiful, staff is amazing and the food is very good, as are the recommendations for restaurants or activities in the area. They really aim to show you the best of local scenery and produce of the Algarve. Do keep in mind the hotel is very secluded, getting there or to any of the stunning beaches or restaurants in the area often involves a 15-25 minute drive on dirt roads full of potholes, so be prepared for an adventure! We loved our stay at Praia do Canal, where else could you find such an enormous garden in your backyard to play. A big thank you to Bruno, Melisa and the rest of the amazing staff for making us feel at home. We hope to come back.

I cannot say enough great things about this place. We stumbled upon it - and are so grateful. The decor of the entire resort is absolutely perfect. So serene, peaceful and just a true oasis in the middle of an incredible country. Staff was outstanding - friendly, helpful, accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. The spa, the pool - literally one of the best places I have ever stayed!

Fantastic Resort
Beautiful resort in a rural, quiet setting. The design is gorgeous and every detail has been considered. The rooms are spacious and very well appointed. Small details like a towel warming rack and plenty of hooks for towels make the spacious bathroom even nicer. The pool and spa are beautifully designed to incorporate the natural surroundings. The food is very good and the included breakfast is very substantial. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. Overall this is a spectacular place.

Worst experience I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. Dead bolt did not work and the hotel gave someone access to my room around 11pm. They came in, turned on all the lights and started screaming when I popped out of the bed. No explanation, just slammed door and left all the lights on. Needless to say I did not sleep because I did not feel safe at the hotel. No explanation was provided until I complained to the front desk the next morning. Their flippant response, “Oops! We made a mistake and gave someone a key to your room.”

What an amazing place. So relaxing and such a cool concept. We had a lovely time. The food was excellent, the staff super nice, the rooms were great, the area super relaxing. I cannot wait to come back. Stunning stunning property too! So happy we stayed here. My only thing was that they should have made the spa here a bit larger but it was perfect and perfectly run.

Peaceful retreat probably best for couples stay
Fantastic hotel with top staff in a beautiful peaceful setting. It’s not 100% kid friendly (steps and distance to rooms, no kids area) but it still makes for a great family stay.
