About this property

Hartley Wine Estate – The Oast House

Incredibly spacious and luxurious living with a blend of original and modern features

The perfect romantic bolt hole situated on an incredible 80-acre vineyard

A stunning architectural design with exposed stone and beams throughout

Oast House is an exceptional property that has views from the bedroom window across the Vineyard, a unique circular shaped lounge for those evenings relaxing in front of the TV and a very large bathroom with jacuzzi bath to soak in after enjoying a walk cross the bridle paths. Set amongst 80 acres of vines, woodland, farmland and fishing lakes, this is the perfect romantic retreat for those looking to escape to the country. It also features a family of peacocks, rare breed chickens and flock of sheep.

This is a perfect romantic retreat for a couple or a perfect space for a couple or small family looking to escape to the country. Hartley Mauditt, enjoying exceptionally beautiful surroundings, outstanding walks and dog-friendly pubs is considered a natural playground for ramblers, cyclists and nature enthusiasts alike. Whilst in this idyllic countryside location, Hartley Wine Estate is close to excellent shops, restaurants and major transport links.

In the local village of sleepy Selborne you can walk up the famous zig-zag pathway, enjoy the views and explore the hangers, or visit Gilbert White’s House and The Oates Collection. This hidden gem was home to naturalist Gilbert White, author of `The Natural History of Selborne’ and boasts a wonderful 20-acre garden. The village of Chawton, famously the home of Jane Austen is also nearby, and The Watercress Line steam railway goes from neighbouring Alton, trundling through pleasant countryside through the village of Ropley and on to Alresford.

You can also enjoy a walk through the Lavender Fields at Hartley Park Farm, explore Alice Holt Forest or Goodwood’s famous motor circuit, not to mention the chalky white cliffs and sweeping sandy bays of England’s South Coast, just 30 minutes away by car.

Spectacular Accommodations
What an amazing place. It begins with an adventurous drive through the beautiful English countryside. You arrive to a scenic and traditional English country estate set amongst a flourishing vineyard. We stayed in the Oast House which has beautiful views of the estate. On top of being pristine, our accommodations it had everything we needed. Thank you to the hosts of this property.
