Last minute booking, can not be more satisfied with this twist of fate. Traveling for a work/break road trip, late out of Buffalo heading to Worchester Mass, and found this gem. We are coming back often. Truly a diamond in the rough!!!

The hotel is amazing but the restaurant was closed. The room was beautiful but the furniture wasn’t too comfortable. The bed had a dip on one side. I did not like the blind over the window, the light shines right through it all day and night! There should really be some curtains there to block out the light. The room would not cool down at night to a comfortable temperature and we heard some sort of knocking sounds all night long.

Our room reeked of farts. The sewer vent was STINKING up the whole place. When I brought it up to the old man at the front he was very rude and dismissive. This place is cool looking the the dining area/hall. But that’s it. The smell was so bad in the room for 2 days, NOT WORTH the $!!!

When things go wrong with Hotel.com reservations.
I traveled four continents throughout my business career and never ran into this situation I dont know what to add other than I will deal directly with the hotels from now on and not use hotel.com. Amsterdam Castle Hotel was very interesting and should’ve been a great stay. Unfortunately we had issues. The mattress on my bed was a Sleep by number mattress and broken. No one at the hotel could offer help. We were not anle to sleep on a broken bed so we left in the middle of the night and I made the 3 hour drive home. Because I booked through Hotels.com noone has been able to resolve anything. After 15 years with Online booking I will not use Hotel.com any longer. I will deal directly with the hotel. I was also charged full price and not the price listed at hotel.com.
