None of the photos looked anything like the property it was very outdated and dark as lights were broken, with tons of stairs to get up. Water temperature and pressure was inconsistent in the shower. Everything we wanted to do was within walking distance and the room was serviced daily but still not what we were expecting

This property is ideally located and walking distance to everything Amsterdam-central. Would happily stay here again, the hotel was great value for the location and the staff were absolutely fantastic and helpful.

There are 2 massive flights of steep stairs. I’m young so it’s not a huge deal for me, but this property is not handicap or senior friendly. The reception is at the hotel next door which is not very convenient. The room itself was pretty small, and looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. Much less recently renovated. Location was great and the balcony was nice.

The hotel was in a great area. We were on the back side and not facing the main road so it was very quiet at night. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was recently renovated. The only downside was that there was a ton of very narrow stairs to get up to reception and then a narrow spiral staircase to get up or down to the rooms. Make sure to look at all the pictures to get an idea of what they look like. Don't book this place if you have mobility issues, heavy luggage, or plan on stumbling back drunk or you probably won't make it up the stairs.

Even though the Doyle is centrally located and is walkable to the most attractions and the transportation, you will be disappointed with poor cleanliness, noise, and cigarette smell. I would never stay here again. Pay little extra to get clean and quieter option.

The location of property is great for tourism however the condition of building is not suitable to use for hotel and not safe at all to stay or sleep, the building is too old and the stairs are way dangerous to use. For the cleaning I don’t need to say much as it can be seen in other reviews how dirty it is. staff I don’t know her name but she speaks Arabic and wear scarf she was highly rude to my family and disrespected us so badly. I am traveling very often and visited most of the world, I promise staying in this place was the worst experience of my life and don’t recommend it to anyone!!! Even if they offer me to stay there for free I would never to that mistake again.

I stayed here two years ago and loved it. I had a tiny room but it had character. The staff was unbelievably kind and the breakfast was wonderful. This time was nothing like my first experience. This time, my room was a 6 foot by 20 foot room with nothing but a single bed, tiny mirror and unplugged refrigerator. To get checked in, I had to figure out on my own that I had to go to another hotel, climb steep steps, check in, go back to my hotel, climb steep steps to get to my room. To check out I had to go back to that other hotel. Very confusing and inconvenient. There was nothing enjoyable about this hotel experience. Not sure why they charge so much money for these basic conditions.
