Going out for Amsterdam or just finding your quiet spot when working or relaxing, up to four can enjoy a lovely place on one of the Canals. Everything is within reach, as well as a filmmuseum, 100m high lookout or just a nice restaurant next to the water or even beach. Also going out for nature is a 15 min tour on a bike or car. Or visit one of the famous Musea Amsterdam has by walking up to one of the free Ferries and get into the tram or metro. Even by bike it is only 20 minutes away. Your host has a lot of knowledge on where one can go, all depending if it needs to be a local, cultural experience or just for food and good music. It's all there you just have to make something good out of it.

Fantastic stay in the perfect location for exploring
The boat itself is great for a cozy stay. It’s nice and warm and in great condition. There are 4 single beds that are together to essentially create 2 doubles so it’s a bit cozy if you’re sharing with friends. The location is perfect as it’s just about a 10min walk from the free 24/7 ferry into the centre. Theres also plenty to see on the north side of the river. Would highly recommend this stay.

Great stay in a traditional Dutch houseboat
A two bedroom apartment in a houseboat. Newly renovated, with the benefit of a small kitchen. A quiet location, only a quick ferry ride from downtown. Highly recommended for those wanting a unique experience.

Cozy houseboat
Overall this was a pleasant stay. This is a cozy two-bedroom houseboat. One bedroom has a daybed and the other room is two twin beds which can be pushed together. Compact but well-equipped kitchen, suitable for small meals but not meant for serious meal preparation. Beds were comfy. Edwin was easy to reach while we were there. A couple of things to know - the location is both a plus (quiet, nice neighborhood) and a minus (the walking to and from the ferry to get to central station got a little old). You cannot control the temperature inside the unit - the control is on Edwin's side. It's not the kind of place you're going to linger unless you're there in summer and can sit outside - there's really only one chair to sit and read in - there's plenty of seating in the kitchen, though, so comfortable for eating. All in all, a good rental and a good value for what's available in Amsterdam.

Great Boat House
We enjoyed our stay despite all the rain. Great location. Few mins walk to the ferry that takes you directly to Centraal Station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Thank you Edwin for a great visit.

Lovely quirky houseboat in perfect location
We had a great stay, with lots of excellent assistance and communications from Edwin. This is a unique way to enjoy Amsterdam, close to this beautiful city (a free ferry ride right to Centraal station is 10 mins walk/ 2 mins cycle), but also a peaceful spot close to lovely countryside. We hired bikes and rode out through fields to villages, then straight onto the very regular ferry and into the city... the place is cosy, well appointed. bedrooms are small but fine for family of four for a short stay. loved it, and Edwin was super helpful.

Edwin's houseboat is a lovely little property, with all the essentials. It was very clean, excellent shower setup, and the 10-15 minute walk to the ferry across the IJ to Central Station makes the location quite convenient. Edwin was a wonderful, accommodating host, and was quick to respond to my messages. Thanks again, Edwin!

Modern house boat for great short city break
Lovely location on a quiet canal away from the old city centre. It is very close to modern attractions such as the Eye museum, Lookout Tower and This is Holland but also has very easy access by ferry, which links directly to the main transport hub (train, metro, bus) as well as to the old city centre. Accommodation is quite compact (we are a family of four, two teenagers) but was very clean and modern and perfect for a short stay.It was a novelty to watch the ducks and moorhen swimming by while we had breakfast! Edwin was very helpful, responding to any online queries really quickly and was a great source of advice and tips while we were staying. Would highly recommend and would book again.

Great location to see the heart of Amsterdam
My husband and two daughters stayed here and it was a wonderful location. The house was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. Edwin was very helpful with places to visit and made us feel so welcome. Everyday we walked the short distance to the free passenger ferry where we could then explore museums, canals, and enjoy all types of food. We would definitely stay here again!

Great experience!!
Who wouldn’t want to stay in a real houseboat in Amsterdam….seriously? We so enjoyed our stay there. Out your living room window were all kinds of ducks swimming by. Nature is all around you. The area is very quiet at night which was what we wanted. Each evening, we sat around the kitchen table with wine, and charcuterie, sharing photos, and planning the next days’ activities. Lots of laughs! We were not far from the historic centre- it is a very short 10 min walk to the ferry which took us to the Central train station and onward from there. It’s a walking city but beware of the cyclists, they rule!! In all, we really enjoyed our stay at the houseboat! Add that to our bucket list!! Thanks Edwin and Bia!

Great Stay and great hosts
The property is as advertised. It is very clean and very private, away from the hustle and bustle of Dam Square. It was a relaxing experience and Edwin was very helpful. There is a grocery nearby, but it doesn't accept US credit cards, you must use cash. No big deal. The walk to the ferry is about 10 min and you never have to wait longer than a couple of minutes for it. It was a great stay and would recommend the experience to friends.

So Close, yet so far
This was a great find. Close to central station but out of the hustle and bustle. Only a 8 min walk to the 24hr ferry which put us right in the thick of things. Edwin was extremely helpful and responsive without being intrusive. We are a family of four and although it was a little smaller then we are used to, it but was very warm and cozy. If there was one thing, perhaps a window in the second bedroom. The host has indicated that he will be putting a floating deck outside the sliding doors so that will be really nice for morning coffee. Would I recommend the property,,,,ABSOLUTELY!

Excellent “budget” option within easy reach of Central Station
The apartment is part of the houseboat where the family has their home. It has a private entrance, very clean, comfortable beds, nice shower, nice kitchenette with sitting and dining area. Great for 2 people, might be a bit close quarters for 4, but definitely do-able. There is no TV, no problem for us. The entrance into the apartment is a bit “dicy” in the dark and rain, for us “seniors” it felt a little slippery with 2 steps and a turn. Overall a great stay with a very friendly and attentive host.

Impeccable cleanliness
The place was immaculate and well kept. being on the water is a very special experience, and gives a serene start to the day. The location is a bit out of the way, but the free ferry from Amsterdam Centraal runs every few minutes, 24hrs a day.
