The rooms are dated and that would be okay if they were clean. Celling fan was coated with dust/dirt and light above the bed was also coated with dust/dirt. One towel was gray (should have been replaced) and one had a dirty handprint that didn't come out all the way when washed. Staff was friendly and the price was cheaper than Anchorage hotels.

This place is an absolute dive, it houses workers and transients. The parking lot is full of potholes and the pictures are not what this place looks like now. We didn’t feel safe from the moment we pulled up but I spent $200 so we bit the bullet. If it wasn’t late I would’ve booked elsewhere.

This is an ok hotel but given the alternative of paying double staying in Anchorage it’s expectable. Don’t expect too much. Rooms are small and old even though supposedly they went through a remodel since it was damaged by the earthquake. The good news is it’s about 1 mile from the bus stop that goes into Anchorage. It’s a great alternative to maybe getting an Uber down there for about $100, pay $2 instead!

Small flooded parking. Water shut off between 7 and 9 pm for plumbing repairs (not best choice of time). Security lock on room would not lock, was told it had been that way since the “earthquake “ and it was the only room that wouldn’t lock yet they still put us in that room. They had other rooms available and we insisted on being moved. Heat is disconnected during summer months because rooms get too warm and there is no air conditioning. Feet stuck to bathroom floor because of over application of wax. Restroom on main floor out of order. Checked out breakfast offerings and went elsewhere.

The management turned off the heat to the whole building. This was in Alaska! It was freezing in there! Unfortunately we have to stay there 2 more nights during our travels here. Will be posting more bad reviews. I am also going to be asking for a refund.

Clean and safe, staff very friendly and accommodating!! However, property very outdated. Lots of fun things to do! Eagle River is a beautiful place! Enjoyed the Anchorage area very much 👍

No coffee maker or blow dryer in the rooms. Limited breakfast items with no one attending so many items they did were out. Could easily have peanut butter for toast, boiled eggs or yogurt for some protein. Vending machine and downstairs bathroom out of order the two days we were there. Attendant not at desk a lot of the time.

Staff was extremely kind and helpful. The rooms are outdated. Broken toilet seat, carpet smelled like urine. Although customer service was wonderful, I would not stay here again.

This is the most bare bones hotel room we have ever stayed in. No lamps on nightstands. Two pillows for queen bed. The toilet paper dispenser is too far away to reach it, so just took it off. Very noisy. No A/C so had to leave the window open. No fridge or microwave. Very small room. Disappointed. I knew it wouldn’t be the greatest room, but it was our 58th wedding anniversary and I was hoping for a little nicer.

Only stay if there are no other options.
They replaced our towels once, and never replaced sheets or even refilled side of the wall tissue paper. Cards rarely worked and the tv was too small to even watch considering they put it where it almost touched the ceiling. Considering the cost to stay here I will never stay at a Microtel.
