We had such beautiful time at Darna! From very welcoming staff, beachy holiday vibes to the diving and snorkelling equipment and views on the Red Sea.. wouldn’t go anywhere else!

The hotel is in a great location, across the road from the beach/sea which has a good reef. The food is very nice but not cheap - the prices are the same as those in upmarket restaurants in Aqaba. Best hotel in Aqaba.
Our stay at Darna was better than we expected. It's a great location.. just across the street from the Red Sea. We had big rooms, fridges worked great, beds comfortable, lots of hot water. The pool was wonderful. Lots of chairs and tables to lounge around the pool. Good diving equipment. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast could be better, thats probably the only thing I could say that was a bit disappointing. Otherwise Darna wa great. I would stay there again for sure.

It's fine if you go in knowing what to expect.
This place isn't bad, but it's just really nothing to write home about. The main thing it has going for it is its location, right across from South Beach and some really good snorkeling spots. For 5jd you can rent a snorkel and fins, which was great. The hotel itself was ok, but not great. The accommodations were clean, but fairly sparse. The Wifi only works in common areas, and it's really weak. The included breakfast was ok and filling. They dramatically overcharge you for things like water, or beverages, which they can do because there's really no store anywhere near the hotel. Although the small stand on the beach across the street sells water for half the price of the hotel, which is a good indicator of how much the hotel raises the price. The food off the menu in the restaurant when I had it wasn't very good, and it too was overpriced. In fact, they raised the price of the menu items in the middle of the 4 nights I was there, which made it worse. When I tried to ask some questions of the folks who worked there, it often felt like I was bothering them. They didn't particularly seem to want to talk to me. It's not a bad place, it's just exactly what you'd expect for the amount of money you're going to pay. If you want a cheap place to go snorkeling, it's great for that. If you wan't much more than that, it's not the place for you. In the end I was happy with it, but my expectations were low and the hotel met those expectations.

Dive hotel on red sea
Great location, terrace overlooking red sea. Room dated but everything worked, remodel in progress. Staff very helpful, meals were good. We only stayed one night were able to check in early, would reccomend

Love the place!
4 days already passed that we arrived back home and we are still in our vacation mood. Were were couple came for scuba dive. I'm dive master my girlfriend also very experience diver and we both had hundreds dives in Sinai and other countries. Never in Jordan yet before this vacation. We chose this village based on reviews, the location (from the beach) and since it's our first dive experience in Jordan we didn't care a lot about the rest. We needed a bed, a shower and a dive center. At the end we got much more than we expected. Across the street from the beach. The village have in-house dive center with all the equipment you can ask for, at fair prices. The staff was super helpful, friendly and talkative, so you feel part of the family after couple of hours in the place. Madi, his brother Abed and our super friendly dive guide Ricardo has perfect English. The restaurant is very good with fresh food and excellent breakfast. The room was very comfortable, clean, smells good and with AC. The dives was EXCELLENT and the vacation unforgotten. Thank you Madi and Abed, we would definitely come again and recommend to our friends!

Perfect location great view
If you don't want to stay in downtown Aqaba but don't want to pay too much this is the perfect choice. Great view of the ocean beach from the pool decck. The staff and owners are great, were very helpful with taxi advice and helped me figure out my Visa for Egypt. Food was amazing! Wifi could be stronger as it becomes basically useless when people wake up and start using it at breakfast.

Across the street from great beach and snorkeling
We picked this hotel for the location and got great help from the staff as well. It is right across the street from a nice beach with great snorkeling. Not a fancy place but quite comfortable, friendly and the staff was very helpful in setting up a great snorkel experience. Once we knew the great spots we wish we could have stayed longer! Excellent if you are on a budget and want a wonderful Red Sea experience.

its almost hostel not hotel
its good for sleeping at night, really was calm, but no activity or any thing else, its almost hostel not hotel, i do not recommended it for family or girls. the hotels location(south beach) are far away from the main aqaba location , you need taxi to get there(and the taxi are expensive). the public beach are very near from the hotel . really nothing to do there except staying on the beach. breakfast food awful, better to not eating.

Perfect place to stay for snorkelling Red Sea
Great place to stay if you want to snorkel or scuba dive. Two minutes walk from the beach, they rent the equipment at the hotel at fair prices and they even have guides who will go out with you and show you the reefs. The staff was very friendly and talkative, the restaurant is very good but not that cheap. The room was very comfortable and I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

Great place for a budget vacation
The hotel is about 15 minutes south of Aqaba, near a nice quiet strip of public beach with a good reef. They offer guided scuba dives for 35JD at Darna, which sold us on the place. It's a budget hotel, so you get what you pay for. The room was clean and the staff was hospitable and helpful (and the breakfast was great). I would suggest having a rental car if you're staying there, although it's not hard to spot taxi cabs around.

The room was clean except the blankets had not been washed. We went and bought our own blankets. Forget about the "Pillow top" mattresses, they did not exist, the beds were beds were box springs on the floor. TV didn't work, hole in the door. Hope you were not in hurry to catch a plane, said breakfast would be at 8, no one ever showed up to put things out until 9! This is a Middle East facility and no humus available for breakfast ? The good thing about the hotel is that it had a great view, directly across from the beach.
