If you are visiting Armilla, it's a no-brainer decision to visit the Alhambra. The Apartamentos Río Darro and Hotel Anacapri are options you can choose from nearby.

The Apartamentos Río Darro is close to the Granada Cathedral. Another nearby option is the Hotel Anacapri. If you'd prefer to book a room near San Jeronimo Monastery, you could also check out the Hotel Macia Plaza or the Casa Palacio Pilar del Toro. The Plaza Nueva and the Mirador de San Nicolas are other much-visited Armilla destinations. The El Ladrón de Agua and the Hotel Casa 1800 Granada are within walking distance from the Plaza Nueva. The Hotel Puerta De Las Granadas and the Domus Selecta Palacio De Santa Ines, are near the Mirador de San Nicolas.

The Casa del Capitel Nazari and Zaguán del Darro are closest to the Armilla Trade Fair, while the Plaza Nueva and Apartamentos Casa Cuesta del Agua are close to the Carrefour Commercial Center. If you plan to stay close to the Caja Granada Cultural Center, choose from handy hotel options such as the AMC Granada and Apartamentos Venecia. The Juan Francisco is 16 kilometres from the middle of Armilla. Or, alternatively, the El Balcón de Nieves can be found 9 kilometres away. You could also choose to book a room at the Hotel Santa Cruz or the Albergue Inturjoven Sierra Nevada - Hostel.

Like to explore a little further afield? You're in luck! Andalucia has plenty of other things to see and do. Visit the ruins and castles in Andalucia, or simply head off and enjoy the area's beaches and coastal plains. Popular pastimes in this particular part of Spain include snowboarding.

Lanjaron is 25 kilometres to the southeast of Armilla and is home to the Alpujarras Gate and Castle Lanjaron. The Hotel Miramar and Hotel Nuevo Manolete are a few of the great long and short-stay options in Lanjaron. 45 kilometres to the south of Armilla, you'll also find Almunecar, which is home to the Hotel Almijara and Sol Los Fenicios. The Almunecar Beach, Pena Escrita and Cueva de Siete Palacios Archeological Museum are amongst the more popular places to explore for those visiting Almunecar.

If sport gives you a buzz, be sure to visit Plaza de Toros de la Malagueta, which is 85 kilometres to the southwest of Armilla. The Vincci Malaga and the Hostal Moscatel are good options if you hope to really get into your sport.
