'Chestnut Cabin' is located just 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway where Mt. Pisgah, at over 5300 feet in elevation, offers hiking on marked trails with many spectacular vistas to view the magnificent Blue Ridge Mountains. Nestled on 2 acres of land that borders Stoney Fork Creek and the Pisgah National Forest, Chestnut Cabin offers a cabin experience while still having close proximity to the area's many tourist destinations and outdoor activities. On the property, you have access to a covered patio with a gas grill and amenities for outdoor dining. To enhance the outdoor dining experience, the covered patio has a ceiling fan, electrical outlets and outdoor furniture, including a swing and a glider. A cast iron chiminea is also provided for having a small fire, weather and burning conditions permitting. Relaxing on a huge screened porch with rocking chairs, a ceiling fan, skylights, and patio furniture will help unwind you after your daily activities. The screened porch is a perfect place for that first cup of coffee early in the morning or that favorite beverage in the evening hours.
The master bedroom with a queen-size bed is furnished with Egyptian cotton sheets, chest of drawers, TV, and a large walk-in closet. Extra linens and iron with ironing board is also available. Upstairs open area houses two twin beds, TV, chest of drawers, dresser and sitting area. Open living area, with gas firelogs situated in a rustic rock fireplace, offers additional sleeping on a queen-sized sleeper/sofa. The kitchen/dining area (and bathroom) has ceramic flooring while the remainder of the cabin is hardwood. Full bathroom with tub/shower and washer on main level. Outside clothes line available for drying.
