It was fantastic from first walk in greeted warmly by owner & daughter so accommodating suggested pub across street so we didn’t have to drive again after long drive here.

While the accommodations were very basic (i.e. no AC in the room, only fans), the breakfast was great. Our host, Angus, was a nice guy and we enjoyed talking to him and the one other set of guests staying there that night. The place was a little further out of Goderich than we thought it was.

Loved the history and rustic atmosphere. Loved the little in-suite bathroom but it needs towel racks and a little table or countertop for toiletries. Loved that breakfast was served on the patio by the pond/fountain and breakfast was awesome!

The Port Albert Inn is a charming, country inn with modern amenities in a great location. From the very comfortable bed, great en suite to the individually prepared delicious breakfast. Highly recommend.

Quaint and Peaceful
Port Albert Inn is a beautiful old world building , and my stay was like stepping back in time , with all the comforts of modern facilities. The beautiful log fire in the lobby was so relaxing and the breakfast was perfect. The Inn is set in peaceful location so no traffic to worry about .

Beautiful location. Angus and the staff were wonderful! The inn was very charming with its old world style antiques and design. There are many activities to participate in like hiking, and the bar across the street was reasonably priced with delicious eats and a very accommodating staff. The beach was beautiful, but quite rocky in the water. When you come to visit, bring your deck shoes!! I highly recommend this location for a relaxing and quiet getaway.

Truly a hidden gem..
An absolute gem if you are looking for peace and quiet in a rustic and serene spot away from the cares of the world! Everything in the hotel is well cared for, nurtured and highly maintained. It is very comfortable and one will feel definitely at home once you walk into it. It definitely beats a hotel any day! Great place to stay if you are looking for accommodation around Goderich, Bayfield or Kincardine. And that is not all- the HOT BREAKFAST is amazingly wholesome! It is a wonderful experience and pleasure to be there. Wish we could have stayed longer!
