I made a reservation about 2 weeks prior for 3 nights at this motel. I arrived after driving for 7 hours that day. It was 10:22 p.m. when I pulled into the office. All of the office lights were off and the door was locked. I called the number listed on the door, and a woman informed me that my reservation had been cancelled because I "didnt answer the phone." She said the office closed at 10:00p.m. They refused to let me book a room. They told me to call Expedia. It was a terrible experience. Ive traveled through 27 countries. Very few motels in any of those countries were unavailable at even odd hours, and this was the very first motel in 30 years I have encountered that closed the lobby at such a ridiculously early hour....especially when I had a reservation. Absolute laziness. There is no other excuse for such egregiously awful customer service. They were inconsiderate, rude, disorganized, and inflexible. They even had the audacity to insinuate it was my fault. I've had some bad experiences, including staying in an $8 motel in Southern Mexico that was converted from the local jail. This one, though, will stand on the podium all by itself for a long time. No excuses. F.
