We stayed at the Thompson after staying at the Kimpton across the street several times because the rooftop bar looked like it had great views and atmosphere. Too bad they booked the rooftop out so no guests could enjoy it, so we walked across the street to the Kimpton rooftop. A waste of time and money to stay here.

Good service, clean. one of the elevators was down and this created excessively long waits. If elevator needs repair, this should be a priority! It was disturbing for a business trip to miss out on so much due to waiting for the elevator.

Absolutely Terrible Experience -Never Staying Here
I’ve stayed at this hotel for work trips since its opening, but my latest stay was an absolute disaster. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the minibar hadn’t been replenished. To avoid being charged for something I didn’t use, I took photos and kindly showed them to the receptionist, who assured me I wouldn’t be billed. Despite this, I was later hit with an outrageous $460 charge for minibar items I never touched. It has been taking ages to resolve this, and the staff have been completely unhelpful. I should also add that I only stayed for one night. What made things even worse was that two of my keepsake necklaces, one gold and one diamond, went missing from my room. I reported this multiple times over several days, but no one took my concerns seriously, and I never received any follow-up or help. It was as though the staff couldn’t care less about the situation. For a hotel I’ve been loyally staying at for years, this level of indifference and lack of care is shocking. The minibar charge is excusable and can be resolved, but my missing necklaces are why I’m done with this place. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere that actually values its guests.

Despite this, I was later hit with an outrageous $460 charge for minibar items I never touched. It’s taking ages to resolve this, and the staff have been completely unhelpful. I should also add that I only stayed for one night. What made things even worse was that two of my keepsake necklaces, one gold and one diamond, went missing from my room. I reported this multiple times over several days, but no one took my concerns seriously, and I never received any follow-up or help. It was as though the staff couldn’t care less about the situation. For a hotel I’ve been loyally staying at for years, this level of indifference and lack of care is shocking. The minibar charge is excusable and can be resolved, but my missing necklaces are why I’m done with this place. Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere that actually values its guests.

Let’s start with the staff. Those ladies at the front desk are the reason I’m a forever customer. All of them were so friendly and personable. My wife and I were very impressed. The facility itself…..eye candy, mixed with a modern but contemporary feel, while being extremely stylish with a touch of warmth. The room, just flat out sexy and it was an enjoyable night. The bathroom straight up dope and that shower was life. You get your money’s worth. Thank you Thompson.

Service issues
The hotel is beautiful- but the service was terrible. We rented a cabana at the pool and it was just chairs with no covering and a tv that did not work. They were also having a rooftop pool party and we were told we would have to leave our lounge chairs once the party began. Get there early for the pool because space is very limited. The rooftop restaurant was terrible- again we were told we could sit but would have to leave when a reservation arrived in three hours. The entire restaurant was empty…we were ignored for almost twenty minutes before we went to the bar to just order drinks and leave. Room service was decent and the bell man and car service was excellent!
