This cabin is just 3 blocks from Lake Superior and the best beach in da Yoop! There is a private fenced in yard for pets and kids. There is a stall in the garage that is available for your use as well. The ATV/snowmobile trail is right there too, as it runs along M28 and Lake Superior. Easy access to everything in our area. Cabin has just been renovated, it's perfect for guests looking to have a home base centrally located to all our area has to offer. Snowmobile and ATV riders will appreciate the close proximity to the trail and gas station as well as the garage stall that is available. For those looking to hike, bike and kayak, the trails and waterfalls are within 20 minutes and the river is just blocks away. Pictured Rocks Cruise is only15 minutes away!.
The Cabin is setup for up to 7 people. There is a queen bed in two of the bedrooms with a loft where you'll find 2 twin beds. The living room has a couch for additional sleeping. The kitchen is fully stocked as any normal home would be, including pots and pans, plates, utensils etc.... It includes everything one would need to cook for 7 people. There is also a gas grill included outside. All linens are included, (sheets, pillows, blankets, towels) Paper towels and toilet paper provided.

Perfect Pictured Rocks Stay
This was the perfect spot for our hiking at Pictured Rocks. Chapel Falls trail was about 40 minutes away. Everything was clean, beds were comfy, kitchen had everything we needed. There was a small store across the street for any last minute staples you might need including beer and ice. Also across the street is a Kayak rental business with short or long trips down the river or if you want to go out into the lake. Lake Superior and the beach is a short 2 block walk from the house. And last lastly, the owner was very accommodating to any of our requests.

overall a nice place-but think twice if you’re bringing dogs
place was nice, loved the backyard with privacy fence. they had a nice goodie basket. it was very clean. large shower and lighting was nice & bright. the stair case to the loft was sketchy not really young kid friendly. the place was decent overall. the reason i’m giving 4⭐️ is b/cuz of the extra rules about dogs that were not specified on the listing otherwise we would not have booked here. it was basically discouraged to leave your dog there and if they make noise you weren’t allowed to. we’ve never traveled with our dogs before so we were unsure how they would react. we got a stand alone home for this reason as to avoid bothering people. the property is on the corner so two sides have the street and the other has a garage and fence on another side. (we checked this before booking) meaning the neighbors are not super close. the rules also stated that pictured rocks is not dog friendly so you can’t bring dogs there (which it was posted on signs at pictured rocks that dogs were allowed everywhere we visited, but we didn’t bring them because they told us it wasn’t allowed). we made this long road trip specifically to see pictured rocks so it was incredibly frustrating there extra rules were not listed on VRBO. we own a husky so noise is kind of his thing. we understand being respectful of neighbors but i doubt they can hear in their homes. we didn’t get in trouble for noise, but we did risk getting kicked out. very disappointed about that as we were stressed the whole visit

We had a great stay. The area is quiet and the cabin was great. I loved the laid back attitude regarding my dog. The little things were seen to as well. All of the soap, paper towels, laundry detergent ect were all there. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again. There are a few places to eat and a small grocery within walking distance.

Overall, it was awesome. We loved it. That said improvements could be a banister on front step, and grab bars in showers, but we are old ladies, which you probably don't get much of!!! Would definitely rent again.

The property was perfect for us! Loved the fenced in backyard. AC made alot of noise and didn't really work the best, only one box fan to share amongst the group. We were so sad the weather didn't cooperate and we weren't able to use the free kayak rental that came with the package.

Very nice cabin, with a great private fenced in yard. Had nice fire pit, table and chairs. Yard big enough for dogs to run around. 2 main bedrooms with small bed on loft good for kids. Tv streaming service, with free Roku channels. Smoke alarms went off while using toaster, alarm maybe to close to kitchen cooking area. Walking distance to a couple stores, and beach. Short ride to Muninsing. Would stay here again.

Good cabin with great location
This cabin is a convenient place to stay with quick access to a beautiful beach and lots of waterfalls close by. This cabin was good, but could be great with some small improvements. There were no lamps in the bedrooms on the night stands. Door mats would have helped keep out the dirt/sand. And being close to water, a monthly bug service would help a lot. There were lots of daddy long legs and some earwigs inside. Also, it would be nice to have screen doors and screens that fit on all the windows to allow air flow. The air conditioner smelled musty and was causing me breathing problems, as I have asthma. I wouldn't recommend this place for more than 2 people as there was only one small couch to sit on. It was fine, but not great and it could be!

Spacious, convenient and great location for a great price.
This place was perfect for us, it had enough bedrooms and beds to accomodate our entire group. Two clean bathrooms and a nice enclosed backyard, perfect for kids and pets, just off the main road connecting munising and pictured rocks and au train. The host was gracious and very accomodating and very responsive. Loved my stay here.

Girls weekend
It's about 10 minutes from Munising which was nice. Plenty of room for what we needed and check in was easy. We felt it needed some attention though. The bathtub needs replaced and a shower head you can adjust. The trim on the door is falling g off going to the bedroom in the back. The smell of the fireplace is a little strong on gas so we left it off. Otherwise it was fine fir not being there but a weekend.

Good house, be careful with maps
Finding the property was extremely difficult, but this is due to bad internet when driving and Apple Maps’s incompetency. We drove around quite a bit trying to find this property and then found out we were in the wrong town altogether. You might have better luck with a paper map or google maps if you type in the address for Da Yak Shak, as the house is directly opposite to it. We stayed for a wonderful three nights. The property is very well set-up. Curtain rod in one of the bedrooms looked broken and so did the welcome sign by the door. The toilet takes forever to fill with water between flushes, and you have to pull the handle all the way up after flushing. Don’t expect the owner to be very chatty. We couldn’t get the TV to work and he never got back to us about turning it on, but when he sends you the address, he sends you ALL the information you could need about the house and nearby attractions (side note: the bridge jump he recommended is no longer possible as the government fenced off the bridge). Property is very close by to the beach and grocery/gas station.

Rented labor Day weekend 2022. Like - in town; across the street from kayak rental and grocery store; ample parking; nice fenced in backyard with fire pit; nice patio set; large grill; spacious living room and double room. Loved the washer and dryer hard wood (at least that's what it felt and looked like) throughout the entire home. Areas for improvement - quad room too tight but accommodates two sleeping humans just fine. I would highly suggest a guard for the two upper bunks to prevent accidental falls during sleep, that could result in serious injury. We did not use the top bunks. Kitchen was very small and tight for 8 ppl to be in at the same time but it served its purpose just fine if you move through and not linger. AC only in the living room. Recommend having three fans available for use on hot muggy nights. Especially for the quad room and back bedroom, since they are both located at the back of the home away from the AC unit in the living room. Heat seemed to work just fine. Stock kitchen with large knives for chopping vegetables and meat. There were only small serrated steak knives available. Lastly, the toilet tank needs repair. It ran constantly. Had to take the lid off and tinker with inner parts to get it to work properly. And it leaks at the base (reported this), floor was warped with water stains. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay. Washer and dryer was the highlight for clean clothes on an active, hiking, boating and swimming weekend.
