Algies Bay is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled parts of New Zealand, just an hour by car north from Auckland . A traditional kiwi holiday house,private and sunny.One hour from Auckland but another world away. 2 min walk to beach, boat ramp and playground. Stunning views of Kawau Bay.Room to park a boat. Good safe beach for children and popular for boating.
Close to many beaches and Reserves including Goat Island Marine Reserve, Tawharanui Regional Park , Scandretts and Scott Landing Regional Parks.Handy to Matakana markets, cinema and wine trails and horse riding at Pakiri.
Shops, restaurants and cafes at Snells Beach.

First time stay at Algies Bay...and loved it
Perfect little get away for our family of 7 plus toddler and 2 dogs, as we like a more traditional bach accommodation. Met by owner Don, who was gracious despite our lateness, and he provided a splendid overview of the area (which is stunning). We had a wonderful time

Classic kiwi family home with a great balcony view of the ocean. Enjoyed the dvd selections and family board games. Great location to walk to the beach from. Front neighbours are happy and friendly. Would recommend.

Stayed here for a week with partner and friends. This Bach is very much your classic NZ Bach which does come across in listing and reflects the price as well. Excellent location close to the beach with everything needed to make stay comfortable. Some furniture and decor etc could probably be replaced to spruce it up a little but otherwise comfortable.

Very good location as from the deck, living area and bedrooms has great views of the sea across to islands in the Bay. Two minutes walk to the beach. Safe swimming there from mid-tide and a good playground for kids. Well located to explore other coastal areas and Matakana activities. Kitchen and BBQ worked well. Plenty of boxed games for kids and adults. Overall furnishings are typical of a 20th century beach house.

Great little 'kiwi bach'
This property is close to the beach and has sea views, you can even hear the waves from the house. It is wam and cosy. You can bring the children and the dog and not worry too much about bringing in sand or the children touching stuff, very laid back, pefect for a family holiday.

Short walk to the beach
This is just as the ad says a typical kiwi bach. It’s a few mins walk to the beach which is the best part and bush around we heard possums and a morepork at night. The bach had everything we needed except a washing machine. We had a lovely holiday and our dog did too. We paid a service fee, but I’m not sure what the services are that book a bach charged when we made key arrangements etc with the owner.
