It's also a great place for kayaking and stand up paddle boarding, if you are feeling adventurous. An easy wander up the road will take you to white sands and safe swimming at Oneroa beach. The village is close at hand and has many specialty shops, cafes, bars and restaurants on the main street.
This central location means you can enjoy a Waiheke experience where everything is within walking distance. Jump on the number 1 bus from Matiatia wharf when you arrive: there is a bus stop outside the property. You can catch the Hop On / Hop Off bus opposite the Red Cross building for a tour of the vineyards. You can beach hop by bus. You don’t really need a car so it’s an ideal spot for that happy, holiday escape.
