The village is close at hand and has many specialty shops, cafes, bars and restaurants on the main street.
This central location means you can enjoy a Waiheke experience where everything is within walking distance. Jump on the number 1 bus from Matiatia wharf when you arrive: there is a bus stop outside the property. You can catch the Hop On / Hop Off bus opposite the Red Cross building for a tour of the vineyards. You can beach hop by bus. You don’t really need a car so it’s an ideal spot for that happy, holiday escape.
