Welcome to the historic Homestead at the Dripping Springs. This house is one of three available lodgings each of the three dwellings are unique to their time period, style and setting. The Butler Cabin and Willie Mae's Cottage are both part of the Homestead at the Dripping Springs and can be reserved at the same time to sleep 8 people.
The property contains the original dripping springs for which the town was named. The Homestead is centrally located in the Historic Mercer Street District of Dripping Springs, close to shops, wedding venues, wine trails, parks and beautiful country roads.
Guests make themselves at home at Clara's House furnished with many antiques and reminders of early Texas. The house is a State Historical Landmark and is on the National Register. Relax on the porch with your coffee or under the shade of the giant oak fenced corral where a swing, table and chairs and washer pitching remind you of days gone by. Steps lead you to the original dripping spring. Two bedrooms are available: the master with 12 foot ceiling, is furnished with a queen sized East Lake bed and dresser; and the smaller, rock walled bedroom with a handcrafted wardrobe contains a queen size antique bed. The spacious bathroom has a tiled tub/shower along with two pedestal sinks.
Includes free continental breakfast, AC, flat screen TV, WIFI, queen-sized bed, hairdryer, and a snack basket, a full kitchen, living room, and dining room. The house contains many antiques, some belonging to the family.
