No TV at Border Inn
Two key issues were big negatives. There was no TV in the room and the refrigerator smelled very bad. The place in the middle of nowhere was interesting, and you donā€™t expect a lot, but no TV?

Needs serious upgrade. Bathroom was in really sad shape. Suggest to go into the small town of Baker (6 miles) for a decent room and dinning options.

Clean but old
The people were very nice especially the waitress in the restaurant, and the room was clean. The room itself was very old and had numerous mechanical problems: the outlets were worn out and wouldnā€™t hold the plugs so we were in able to charge our devices; the air conditioner didnā€™t keep the room cool and it was VERY noisy; some of lights did not work including the outside light so we had to use our phone light to unlock the door; multiple faucet diverters turned the wrong way. Finally, the wireless didnā€™t work at all.

The queen mattress did not have support in the middle so kept rolling down... Staff friendly, close to the National park. It was a simple room, ok for a couple nights.

An older property in Baker, near Great Basin NP. The rooms are old, but clean. The restaurant has great diner food, and was fast. Staff was great and helpful. Little store with essentials and snacks.

It was dirty, smelly, the shower did not work, and the air conditioner was super loud/had problems. The guy that checked us in seemed like he was high. Grateful this was a late night check in to get a few hours of sleep before leaving early the next morning.

The staff and the restaurant were excellent and made every effort to ensure our stay was a good one. Food was great and convenient. There were no TV's in the rooms and the wi-fi we never got to work in our room. We had to be close to the restaurant to get it to work correctly. In the bathroom the linoleum was discolored and peeling up in places and the soap dispenser fell off the wall when I tried to use it. The bedding and beds were clean and comfortable. Overall, it is a budget motel with no frills. Based on the few selections near the park entrance this will do for a place to sleep for the night.
