The Old Weighbridge is super quirky and compact holiday accommodation perfect for a couple who love something a little different. Attractively decorated with a railway theme, this little cottage has everything you need. With secure storage for bikes and off-road parking, this comfortable and snug cottage makes a great base to explore the surrounding areas.
Being in the market town of Bakewell, you’re in a great location. Have a wander into Bakewell and browse inside the array of independent shops, or stroll along the River Wye whilst having a nibble on the famous Bakewell Pudding. Plan a trip to one of the local attractions such as Haddon Hall, Chatsworth House or have a tour of Thornbridge Brewery. Hop on your bike and ride along the Monsal Trail or drive up on to Curbar Edge, where you’ll be in awe of the views over the hills and valleys.
In the evenings, head into town and cherry pick one of the fabulous restaurants or pubs to dine in.

Klein aber fein.
Für 2 Personen wäre es mir zu eng gewesen. Jeden Tag Bett zusammenklappen ... und dann wohin mit Bettzeug, wenn der Kleiderschrank voll ist (Schubladen waren schon bei Ankunft voll)? So hab ich das Bett ausgeklappt gelassen uns mich drumherumgeschlängelt. Wenn man beim Wandern nass geworden ist, wird es noch knapper mit dem Platz. Wohin mit feuchter Kleidung?
Kurz: alles sehr schön und cosy aber man muss wissen, dass es eng wird. Ich hab mich aber sehr wohl gefühlt.
