Lovely hotel in a very central part of the Rambles. Lots of shops , restaurants & bars within walking distance. The metro is only 5 mins away and even the beach is close by. The hotel is basic but clean with a fridge and kettle provided. Great value for it's location. Definitely recommend.

The staff were very helpful for an Englush speaker. The building has limitations due to where it is, street noise and vicinity to the lift gave more noise. The room and wet area was small, its basic but quaint iand location is great for access to the Gothic Quarter

The place is good if you are aware it is a one star hotel. I was surprised at the nightly cost given how small the room was. I appreciated the kettle but there was no coffee - just some unwanted flavours of herbal tea. The bed only had a foot blanket, so it didn’t cover the whole bed. It does have a lift and is very clean

When I checked in, I shared with the very nice and friendly receptionist that I liked what I saw from photos on the site but saw some very bad reviews and said I hoped he could prove those bad reviews wrong. And on boy, did he outdo himself as the hotel is spectacular! I am claustrophobic and asked for a room with a window but was given one with a terrace complete with a bathtub! I love the location. It is walking distance to everywhere and not right snack in La Rambla where it can get loud. I love that this hotel feels like home and I will definitely be back to stay at room 112! Thank you for the wonderful experience and stay!

Great location, very affordable
The location of Hotel Canton is great with short walks to the Ramblas and marina. Reasonably priced and rooms and bathrooms are very clean and modern. Very cheap breakfast is basic but buffet style so can load up before a day in Barcelona. Will stay here again next time in Barcelona.

The room was very clean and modern. The breakfast was good for the price. The staff were all very helpful. They spoke good English, which we appreciated. There was one small window that opened onto another wall, so it felt stuffy.

The hotel is at the edge of the gothic quarter. The outside and lobby don’t look so good. But the room is clean, newish looking. Everything is fine once you are inside the room. The receptionists are very friendly too. It exceeds my expectations. Like another reviewer stated, just come back before dark then there are plenty of people walking the streets. I don’t think I want to walk back after dark.

As a solo women I tried to be back before dark - just pay attention to your surroundings and be smart - the hotel was lovely I thought and very nice front staff. Very walkable and cool being in such an old area of the city !
