I believe it all starts with the first. And Hotel Colon Barcelona set the stage for a month long visit to Spain. Ideally located for sightseeing in and around the city. Easy walking distance to metro for longer journeys. Hotel very quiet inside even though located in busy central area. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel room very comfortable and clean.

The property is beautiful!! The location was superb right across from Barcelona Cathedral. Area is very walkable. You are minutes from the Gothic Quarters and easy walk to Catalunya, La Rambla. We were there during the holidays so there were beautiful Christmas shops right outside the hotel. The room was beautiful. The staff was very helpful and super nice. The roof top bar is awesome with a great view of the Cathedral. There is a taxi stand right outside the hotel. We will definitely stay here if we come back to Barcelona

This hotel was everything Staff was courteous and professional outstanding service and hospitality Breakfast buffet is has a very good selection of food and drinks 10-15 minute walks will get you just about anywhere you want to go. Easy access to taxis subway or parking. What a blast being across from the Cathedral The bells chimes and market were a deep cultural experience

Great location Staff was very helpful Views of the cathedral are magnificent. There are lots of places to walk to and everything we wanted to see was very close. The room was great with a small balcony. We listened to the street performers.
