Check in and check out woes.
Check in was too slow. There was only one person at the desk who was completely absorbed by one customer. She answered the phone a few times and missed some calls also. She could have checked us in instead of leaving a line of weary customers waiting about a half hour in front of the lobby.
Check out also was ridiculous. The elevator was loaded with a tour bus' worth of people coming down with luggage. By the time we finally got an elevator, the shuttle to the airport left us. The clerk told us we could catch the next shuttle 45 minutes later. Then, when the shuttle arrives, she said sorry the shuttle was full and we would have to take a taxi. She should have told us this was a possibility from the beginning. It put us in jeopardy of missing our flight and cost unnecessary time and money we could have spent otherwise. Poor communication and consideration of guests.
