While this is a slightly more rough and tumble urban neighbourhood, it's a good location (right near Barcelona Metro L3 paral lel station) and it's busy enough with a throng of locals and travellers that youll always feel fairly at ease. The room was very compact but fine for one person or even a couple who don't mind not having too much space. It had a good shower and comfy firm bed I was in room 211 so no balcony but it's a room facing into an internal kind of light well so it's super quiet because it's not facing the street. The only real negative was that being in a corner of the building the wifi was really patchy. Ther is no secruity entrance but the desk is 24 hours so when the doors are locked you can still be out late and buzz in. It was maybe a little on the pricey side for what it is but maybe not for Barcelona which is generally on the priceier side in central locations? The only other negative is that my room security swipe kept losing its charge. Overall it was fine though as a base to explore Barcelona and to immerse yourself into the life of the city.

One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had for an establishment that claims to be a 4 star hotel. Some, but not all, issues below: 1. my room was dirty upon check in. Toilet was dirty and needed to be replaced. Literally got it replaced the next day, but I had to stick with it for the night. 2. There was no soap in the shower soap dispenser upon check in. I had to have someone from management bring more soap. She soiled my room furthermore with her dirty shoes. 3. The walls are extremely thin. I could hear any and everything when people were not in their rooms. From maintenance people to other travelers. As you can guess it woke me up every day. 4. What they advertise as a gym is one of the worst “gyms” I’ve ever seen. It’s a treadmill in a basement and it’s even dirty in there. No weights. Just awful. 5. The cleaning service also sucks. Dirty floors and they even threw some of my garments on the floor. 6. It would have been nice to have just a hint of guidance on the Wifi code at check in, forcing me to go downstairs again. 7. The WiFi isn’t strong in general. 8. Shower had an extremely slow drain. The only positive from this hotel is that it’s next to an outdoor basketball court. Also, the guys working the front desk were nice. Everything else was a truly disappointing experience. I stay in hotels often / travel a lot and I think this is my first one star review. Please do better.

I book in a hurry and for the price I was expecting to lack some things. And indeed the room was small (but not so small by European standards) but it had all I needed in perfect condition, furniture and bathroom looked like new, had a sauna and a solarium on the roof top. And the breakfast was varied and delicious. The freshest green salad every morning! Staff was friendly and helpful. A note of caution: this is city center. Barcelona does not sleep. It parties. There will be street music, the occasional enthusiasm during or after a football game, youth cars at all hours. Do not come expecting quiet.
