Hotel Garbi's location is great! It's walking distance to Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, Placa de Catalunya etc. There's lots of good restaurants around, the staff are all very nice. It's a safe place & room is perfect for what we need for a 4 night stay. The free breakfast buffet is good also to start your day. I highly recommend this hotel.

Pros: front desk staff was always extremely helpful, special shoutout to Eduardo. The bathroom had great water pressure for both the sink as well as the shower. The bed was comfortable and I was even able to get an extra pillow for added comfort. Plus, there are light switches on both sides of the bed so my girlfriend and I were able to turn off the lights without needing to leave bed. The hotel is located in a great spot that is a short bus ride from many attractions in the city, as well as the beach, and was good for walking many places. Finally, the room had a small refrigerator for keeping our things cool. Cons: I think the plastic in my water bottle is thicker than the windows of our room (that was facing the street) because I was able to hear every car, electric scooter, personal conversation, and pigeon fart. This made it difficult to sleep at night unfortunately. The design of the shower is poor, as it is impossible to take a shower without getting the bathroom floor absolutely drenched. We arrived one hour before the check-in time, but were not permitted to check in early, per the hotel’s guidelines. This was strange, as the room was already cleaned and vacant. The AC in our room hardly worked, making sleeping difficult at times as the room would get quite hot, and there was no fan in the room to move around air. Finally, with linens, we had many random stains on our pillow cases and bed sheets even after they had been changed out by housekeeping.

Good clean friendly hotel
We stayed for two nights and could recommend. Warm welcome on arrival. The only issues we had was the water tea and coffee in the room were none existent. The housekeeper did not put any in. We couldn't find the telephone number for housekeeping or reception. The wifi was good. Used the terrace but not the jacuzzi. Nice area to relax after a long journey. Breakfast was very good continental lots of choice. Hotel is reasonably placed with access to lots of restaurants and shops. Only a short walk down to the Ramblas. We would thoroughly recommend and we would return.

Great stay at well located hotel with kind service
The hotel was in a great location. 2 mins walk from Para-lel Metro station, and a 10 minute walk to La Rambla and Liceu metro station, giving easy access to most places in Barcelona. Check in was quick, and hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful. Checkout was also quick, allowed us to securely store our luggage while we spent the final day at the beach, and ordered a taxi for us to the airport, which is around 40 euros. The rooms are quite small and a bit dated, but clean and have a safe for valuables. Great option for those that don't plan on spending much time in the room and want a convenient place to explore Barcelona. Lots of convenience stores and bars/restaurants nearby. Would happily stay here again.
