Hotel was amazing all around and the personal is fantastic!! BUT the area where its located is the worse area of Barcelona, (Called El Raval). We have been in few cities around the world(Even Medellin or Mexico City DF)and we never felt more insecure than this area before, is something that we cant explain in few words. I wish Barcelona authorities take some actions to clean up and take control of this area in the near future. Again, this have nothing to do with the Hotel amenities.

The property and the staff itself is nice and clean. The surrounding areas is sketchy and feels unsafe. Once we get out of the area by Uber/Taxi or whatever transportation we found we were fine.

Hotel is very good,staff very polite and helpful. The area around the hotel is not very safe watch out for and avoid being pickpocketed and keep your phone and wallet in your front pockets and handbags in front.

Near all main areas, and shopping locations. Reminder its near the Gothic District so don't get caught up with the neighborhood looks. After you see you can walk 30 mins to almost anything you will say wow.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!! If you can call it a hotel, more like a converted block of flats, in the worst area of Barcelona. First of all the room they call superior double was just a small room with a double bed in it, nothing like the picture. The pool is an absolute joke, more like a pond or paddling pool for dogs. No facilities what so ever! So we thought maybe breakfast will be better, even though the breakfast area was tiny. Complete joke. You have to make your coffee in a coffee machine with pods, dry egg that wasn't replenished at 10am even though the breakfast doesn't finish until 10.30 ( no other guests are coming! ) we were told. A few bits of cheese and dried up meat, so bad! This hotel is so over priced! Doesn't deserve 1 star let alone 3! And the area is so dangerous, even the woman on reception told us she carries CS gas! We were so disappointed we checked out and found another hotel. We wasted so much time waiting for Expedia to confirm a 2 day refund so we could find somewhere else but during this time the italian lady on reception who was dealing with it was quite rude, sarcastic and not that helpful until the end, when she apologised. Overall terrible experience and the worst hotel i have ever stayed in! FALSE ADVERTISING!!!

Excellent customer service. The people at the front desk were always kind, helpful, and friendly. Great breakfast every morning. The room, however was too small for three people. Also, someone was smoking near our room which was very uncomfortable for us. The cigarette smell was so strong it was hard to breathe in our room. Also, overall the area of the hotel was not very safe. Had we known that ahead of time we would not have booked there.
