Beautiful & Relaxing Cottage House-2br/1.5 bath- with great mountain views.

This country house is located at the hillside. Has all basic amenities, two parking spots, and private because it’s at a distance from owner house, who will be available to support you during your visit. The house has 2 queen bed and 1 sofa bed., about 6 guests can sleep in comfortably. You can feel the warm of Barranquitas beautiful people who can offer many things to do while in town. There is a close by CrossFit gym (not included), a beautiful cafe and bakery with amazing views, historic town center and many more places to visit. If arriving at night suggest to drive carefully, as with any other countryside road these could be narrowed when you approach the house with limited light poles. During daytime you will get used to drive comfortably.

This is self check-in property. Also, we are located about an hour away from San Juan Airport and the nearest beach. A rental car is highly recommended when traveling outside San Juan, as public transportation is limited. Ride sharing only works one way and taxi service is limited.

Wonderful stay with breathtaking views
My friend and I had an incredible stay here! The place was clean and comfortable, beautiful location and safe neighborhood. Communication with Anibal was great, he was very quick to respond and give recommendations. We had an issue with the key when we arrived and Anibal sent over his brother within minutes to help us. He had all the kitchen and bathroom essentials (more than most other airbnbs). I think the only things I would add are a hairdryer, bottle of oil for cooking and extra blankets. WiFi was great too. Waking up to the view looking down the mountain was beautiful and falling asleep to the sound of the coqui frogs is something I will cherish forever. It was also very nice to eat outside on the patio. It’s a huge place, I like that the two rooms are separate from each other so you have privacy. A fair warning, I thought the other reviews were being dramatic when they said the road to get there was not for the faint of heart, however after driving there I get what they mean. There are lots of blind hills and corners so it’s difficult to see oncoming cars and locals drive fast. Just drive cautiously and stay alert and you’ll be fine.

Great country setting. It was quiet and a great get a way from the city. About 15 minutes from the town center. Awesome view. The place was clean, and comfortable for 4 to 6 people. Has a nice balcony area with grill to enjoy with your friends and family. The host was helpful when I needed information. Great experience.

La propiedad esta limpia y muy comoda pero el estacionamiento es muy limitado y nos hizo mucho calor y los controles del aire estaban bajo llave por lo que no pudimos remediarlo. Tiene buena vista aunque el area esta en construccion y un poco tirada por esa razon. Muchos autos pasando haciendo ruido a toda hora de la noche.

Far from everything
We literally checked in, cleaned out the coffee pot, made a fresh pot, and got to work looking for another place to stay. Do NOT attempt to stay here if you have difficulty driving up and down extremely steep hills with 1.5 lane width. Paved? yes. Difficulty level? 7/10. Had to turn the AC off to make it up a couple of them. There was no way possible we would have been able to go to the biobay night tour and navigate those roads at night! Especially if we got any kind of rain fall since we rented a toyota, not a jeep. We stayed a little closer to sea level in Coamo instead. Definitely not much in the neighborhood. The unit would be good enough for 2 people. The couches would have been horribly uncomfortable for my daughters! Host was nice and helpful. It was not very clean, someone left a full pot of coffee...idk how old. Mini fridge. Huge bedroom and bathroom and the rest is tiny. Huge props to the photographer! Those photos made it look so much bigger but the main area is the size of a galley kitchen. Construction in progress below the balcony. Just frustrated that we had to pay several hundred for 4 days of unusable rental! Of course I was not offered any kind of a refund but that's why I am making it more transparent for anyone else who might stay there. Host could have offered partial refund regardless of what "policy" states...they are the ones getting paid after all. It was a horrible feeling and my family was very disappointed except for the cats

The view was amazing. Enjoyed the two balconies, you can see the sunrise. 🌅 You can hear the Coquis at night. The space was very clean and accommodated 6 of us for 5 nights. The drive is a little tricky at first, but was fun. Anibal was communicative and very nice. We definitely recommend

This was by far the best most calming experience I have had since I started going on vacations. The ride up is not for the faint of heart since it’s legit in the mountains.. but OMG I would drive this road everyday for the feeling I had while staying here! Can’t wait to utilize the property again on my next trip to Puerto Rico!

My experience
The owner was very easy to reach and talk to. Until you get used to the drive it’s best to arrive before dark as the roads can be challenging. It’s ideal for travelers who want to experience the local people their life style and language. The accommodations were adequate considering the low cost for renting.

Relaxing home with amazing scenery!!
Very nice home, get value.! Our week long stay at this home was absolutely perfect. It had everything we needed for a long stay. Stunning views from the 2 balconies. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, on a enchanting island!! Centrally located, so it is a great spot to explore the entire island from. We will never forget the feel of the breeze through the windows and the sound of birds signing throughout the night. We would love to stay again in the future.

Barranquitas stay
This place is in a beautiful location. Driving here is an adventure as the paved roads are narrow and steep; very Puerto Rico. The neighborhood is small lot rural but a great place. The views are great. The weather is perfect for most, not too hot and not cold. Personally I like the coasts better. We are trying to get a feel for the country. The house is very clean and well kept. Bedroom is a great size, bed is great. The night sounds of the Coqui are easy to fall asleep to. The kitchen is a small galley, but definitely adequate and well stocked. We ate in a lot as we are trying to duplicate a living in Puerto Rico situation. The host Anibal responded to any questions and requests immediately. He also provided a number of suggestions for dinners out. This place is within walking distance to a great little breakfast and lunch cafe named the Casa Café. They are worth the stop. I would definitely recommend staying here. I really enjoyed our time.

The view is beautiful, when booking it said 10 miles from where I was going to visit. In actuality it took me over an hour. If your not familiar with Puerto Rico I wouldn’t recommend this place especially if you come late. The roads are so windy and there are no lights. The roads are so narrow and cars just blow by you. I have to say the place was nice and quaint but the travel to and from no fun at all.

If you like the countryside this could be for you. There is someone living in the house. The closet was full of personal properties. No space to hang our stuff, came across a few cockroaches on the kitchen floor and the knife drawer, and the headboard had spider webs, and the linen smell funny.
