Cabin in the Woods - 10 minutes to Bartlesville

Our guest cabin is set on 20 wooded acres in the Osage Hills at the end of a private gravel road. It feels completely isolated, but it's only 10 minutes to downtown Bartlesville, 20 minutes to Pioneer Woman's Merc, and an hour to Tulsa. There is a full kitchen, living area, and full bath on the ground floor, with a queen and twin bed on the 2nd floor. There is no TV to interfere with the quiet, although WiFi keeps you connected. We live in the main house and are always available if needed. The cabin is adjacent to the main house but seems very secluded. The front porch and 2nd-floor deck look out on the woods, and the back side is separated from the main house by trees. While walking in the woods, you may scare up a deer or two, or perhaps a few turkeys with their young following behind. The area is known for its bird-watching, so grab the binoculars and bird book (provided in the cabin) on your walk and see what you can find.

Don and Sharon were terrific hosts. The cabin was very safe and comfortable. We loved that even though it was far enough away from city lights to have a stunning view of the night sky, it is still very close to both Bartlesville and Pawhuska. comfortable and

The property was out of the way, but not too far. It didn't take long to return to civilization and conveniences. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint, which is just what the doctor ordered.

Quiet, hideaway
My husband and myself enjoyed our four day stay. It’s a very quiet and secluded surprise as close to town as it is, and we enjoyed the peace and serenity. We will be coming back sometime.

Solitude & Company
Don and Sharon have developed a beautiful space for someone looking to find solitude and quiet or a small bunch to feel at home surrounded by nature. Their rustic two story cabin is at the end of a winding driveway back in the oak timber. If that isn’t enough, less than twenty minutes of scenic driving brings you to fine dining and all the socializing and shopping you might want. During my stay I enjoyed the fantastic food and friendly staff at the Crossing 2nd restaurant fifteen minutes away in Bartlesville. I enjoyed a vigorous hike and sunrise along the surrounding wooded paths. One afternoon I took a 5 minute drive to explore Hudson lake. The cabin has a full kitchen, upstairs balcony, and plenty of comfortable quiet places. Top shelf for comfort, convenience and my personal standard, price. Amazing place!!

Birthday Getaway
We had a wonderful time at the Cabin in the Woods. Don met us when we arrived with a bowl of tomatoes from their garden. He gave us helpful tips of what to see and where to go. The Cabin was as described. Well appointed kitchen if you are inclined to cook, which I did. Lovely house full of antiques and things of interest to look at and read. Had coffee outside and met their sweet dog who sat and visited with us. Very convenient to Bartlesville and a short drive to Pawhuska to see the Pioneer Woman town. We also visited the Tall Grass Prairie and watched thousands of buffalo. Highly recommend this listing.

House in the woods
A friend and I needed a cozy, quiet place to stay as part of our trip to Osage Hills State Park to run the Flower Moon trail race. Sharon and Don have a cute antique guest house that perfectly met our needs. I appreciate Sharon's solid communication before and during our stay!

Great little hideaway
We had a quiet relaxing stay. Cabin is cozy and filled with interesting historical furnishings. Too windy to enjoy the fire pit outside or to explore very much, but we did see several deer, lots of birds and one very large pig. It was a great way to spend time together on our anniversary.

Wow! We can't say enough about how beautiful this place was. I'm not an outdoorsy person but the 2 I traveled with were. Even in January, the view from the cabin is filled with the reminder of creation. I watched 2 fox squirrels, multiple groups of whitetail & mule deer, as well as various birds play across the spacious wooded yard. My son enjoyed a hike & the photography opportunities that the cabin provided. We located a wifi router during the last 2 hours of our stay, but at that point, the peacefulness of nature had worked its magic and we ignored the draw of technology. Our cell phones worked just fine. We had 5g the entire time. The big bed was a little too firm, the steps were a little steep, the road was a little bumpy, but that's really nitpicking a simply spectacular location that we will come back to enjoy again in the future. We were happy campers at the Cabin in the Woods.

We enjoyed staying at the cabin and meeting Don and Sharon. Beautiful location and everything we needed for a peaceful retreat. Enjoyed sitting by the fire pit one evening and watching the birds and deer. We also ate at Don and Sharon's restaurant one evening and the food was delicious.

A little dream house in Nature
This cabin was such a perfect place for us, nature's lovers! We spent 22 days here, and truly loved every moment! Families of deer were gathering in the big yard in the afternoon, rabbits jumping, birds and hawks flying around pretty close to us, armadillos digging in the evenings and the starry sky keeping us in awe while we were sitting by the porch! Don and Sharon have been kind and very discrete and we really felt free in our own private space. The cabin is fully furnished, you will find anything you can think of to cook nice meals - if you enjoy cooking as we do!- feel a homey atmosphere with all the comforts! I warmly recommend this lovely place on the hill, especially if you like Nature!!

Essence of Nature in Osage Hills (Oklahoma)
A quaint cabin nestled in the Osage Hills of Oklahoma. Greeted by a covered porch with paved bricks, grills, clothesline, and ample lighting gave this cabin a earthy feel. A well equipped kitchen with good utensils, pots and pans of all sizes, dinnerware and glassware, and a variety of bakeware. Our favorite was the tea kettle and coffee maker with a variety of flavors to explore. The beds and pillows were comfortable but the bedding engulfed you during your slumbering hours and we always awoke refreshed and energized. The essence of nature surrounded your every sense of being inside and out. Large windows where we could observe nature along with binoculars and bird books for identification even when it rained. Exciting to visually see little and large creatures strolling through the Osage Hills. No television but a fabulous WI-FI connection. Window box air was refreshing during the day and the warmth of a heating system when those Oklahoma rains dropped temperatures nightly. A useful tool was the binder with knowledge of the local area and so many other simple home like additions that were provided. Sharon and Don, our hosts, shared the Native American Heritage and artifacts displayed throughout the cabin. If you are looking for a place with the healing power of nature that offers some respite to the everyday world. Then this cabin will provide the fullness of nature along with a sense of connection to a slower paced self. The cabin provides great proximity to the natural world that promoted a psychological well being to this family.
