Home Away from Home
Gray woods is a remarkable treasure. You walk in the door and feel instantly comfortable and at home. The views are stunning, the kitchen is better equipped than my own and I'm a great cook. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable. Sunsets and sunrises are stunning, the stars are bright. We had sunshine, torrential rain, thick fog, and it was all exactly right. When sunny, we went to Popham Beach, when foggy, we snuggled in by the fire and read, and the pouring rain lulled us to sleep. It is Maine at its best. thank you so much!

Best view of any home we’ve rented in Maine
Just a quick 3-night stay for the holiday and a family reunion. It felt like home, not a hotel. Very comfortable, with many personal touches the owning family has throughout the house and property. Bonus: there’s an active bald eagle’s nest right by the house. It was a great stay!

The house is lovely, spacious, and well stocked with linens, utensils, tableware, etc. The view of the river was lovely and we enjoyed a visit from the neighboring eagles! Very close to Bath and lots to do! We all enjoyed the weekend and are discussing a return trip in warmer weather

Family visit to Maine
This was the perfect place to stay for our first visit to the great Sate of Maine. The house was great for cooking and enjoying our family dinners. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. Plenty of space for several cooks in the kitchen. And a big family friendly dining table. The kayaks were a great way to explore for those bold enough to brave the November cool air

Amazing house with unparalleled view & location!
Our family of 6 adults stayed 4 nights to celebrate my son's graduation from Bowdoin College. We can only echo all the 5 star reviews: the view & space were even better than expected & we loved coming back to such a relaxing location in between events. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, kayaking/paddle-boarding, sitting on the deck/screened porch, lying on the peaceful dock, and watching the eagles & osprey. We all felt it was the waterfront house we wished were in our own family! It's an older home but with great modern upgrades & the personal decor & lived-in feel makes it so cozy. Judy & Hugh are gracious. lovely hosts who provide tons of information about the house & region. It was a delight to meet them & be able to share their treasured home. If you don't enjoy waking up early to birdsong or light, pack some ear plugs & an eye shade & you will sleep well in the comfy beds. We hope to stay again to explore more of the beautiful coast of Maine!

This was our fourth annual autumn trip to Graywoods. Such a wonderful home and location. Highlights included hiking at Bradbury Mountain, Morse Mountain and Popham. The eagles outdid themselves this year, always a wonder to watch. We have already reserved for next year!

Lovely rental..we have done a yearly trip for several years now and this "home" was one of the best. Plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms to meet our needs. A well equipped kitchen with the added perks of an ice machine and a wine cooler was quite a surprise. Judy and Hugh were very attentive and checked in frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. We just may do a repeat of this location.

Graywoods is perfect for Girl’s Weekend!
We needed a kitchen for cooking, a big table for games, and plenty of room to spread out and we found all that and more at Graywoods! The stars at night, the breathtaking sunrises, the views, the Eagles! This family home is full of memories and we are so happy we were able to make our own here, too!

This was our second stay at "Graywoods" and I hope it is not our last. The location is wonderful and the home is warm and charming. It's like being invited to stay in your best friend's home. The upgrades made since our first visit in 2017 reinforce my 5 out of 5 rating.
