The Perfect Home in a Lovely City

We could not have asked for a lovelier home in a more perfect location. We spent four days in Bayeux, visiting its museums and taking a private tour of the Normandy landing beaches and surrounding environs. Carine is the perfect host, and the house a lovely respite!

Fabulous property!

This house was perfect. Check-in process was seamless. House was exactly as advertised-it was clean, spacious and in an incredible location. Walkable to a grocery store, the historic downtown (Tapestry museum and Cathedral), and lots of shops and restaurants. Host was communcative and helpful. Would definitely book again!

Bayeux Bliss

Beautiful little house close to the center of Bayeux. Very well equipped, a short walk to boulangeries, patisseries, restaurants and groceries. Comfortable beds, nearly instantaneous communications with host Carine, and a nice quiet location. If you are lucky, you may get a visit from the gorgeous Gaspard the cat!

Honestly this is the most beautiful, well equipped and spacious house I have ever rented. And I have rented properties all over the world. Communication was very easy, check in was easy, and location was excellent to explore Bayeux and all the beauty of Normandy. Carine’s taste in all of the furnishing, fixtures, linens, bedding and kitchen items are impeccable. I can not rate this property highly enough. Best VRBO in fabulous location

This house is truly one of the best VRBO we have stayed in. It is even nicer in person than in the photos. Great bright home and super super clean. Beautifully decorated. Well equipped with all you need for a comfortable stay. We loved it. Close to Bayeux old town and a great launching spot for all the war sites. Communication was quick and accurate. A stress free experience all around. I’d recommend this to anyone. We were a family of 4 adults. Lots of space.

Amazing!

This is a house, all on the ground level, with magnificent space! It is an easy walk to everything in town, and secure, private parking. The home is beautifully decorated. The host lives right next door and is easily reached; communication was excellent. This is by far the most beautiful property I have stayed at in France!

We had an excellent stay - the house was clean, spacious and our host was incredibly communicative. so close to the old town - everything was walking distance. great little shops and cafes, meeting point for dday tours, solid museums. would definitely recommend foe a stay.

Best Vrbo we have stayed in

By far, the best, Vrbo we have stayed in. Immaculately clean., very nicely decorated, but yet extremely hospitable. It’s so nice that you feel like you want to make sure to keep it clean but yet it’s not so “cold” that you don’t feel like “home” Carine was always available and even help us get a taxi from the train station cause our train was delayed and we did not arrive til midnight (it was extremely helpful. Was no one in our family spoke French!) Absolutely would recommend it and if/we stay in Normandy again we will come back here

Perfect In Bayeux

Exactly what we were looking for. This house had lots of space for our family and was spotless. Easy walk (~5 minutes) into the heart of town - fresh pastries for breakfast or for dinner. Host communicated quickly and accurately. If you are visiting Normandy Bayeux is perfect - the beaches and Caen are all easily accessible.

The BEST House for 3-6 people

This house is immaculate and modern. Layout is perfect for those who wish to go to bed early or sleep in as the bedrooms are able to be closed off from the kitchen and living areas. Easy walk to downtown area, secure parking, washer and dryer! We stayed here 4 nights while exploring the D-day beaches. This was a perfect home base. My companions were very impressed with the home and Carine provided a perfect amount of communication including telling us about an issue creating fuel shortages which we were unaware of since we hadn't been watching French TV. I've stayed at about 30 homes thru VRBO & others and this one deserves 10 stars.

Great communication from thr host! The house was fantastic with 3 bedrrooms and washer & dryer. The stove top took a bit Of figuring out, works great once you get the sequence of taps down. Great location within walking distance to some good restaurants. Backing into the driveway off the street was a bit harrowing at times when traffic popped up.

Delightful modern, bright, clean Bungalow.

Everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped. the shower room spacious and modern. the garden and patio ideal for dining outside. The bungalow is a short walk to the centre of Bayeux. There is a small supermarket and boulangerie down the hill and turn right at the traffic lights.

Lovely house in Bayeux. Perfectly located to walk into the town, but on a quiet road with a great garden. Very close to many wonderful beaches, all easily accessed on quiet country roads. House was spatious, immaculate, quiet, and very nicely decorated. The beds were very comfortable. We had everything we needed, including laundry facilities which were much needed at the midpoint of a two-week trip. The private gated garden was lovely and parking was easy once we mastered backing in through the automatic gate. The beautiful town center was just a five minute walk, the first part along a narrow street, but mostly along a tree-lined stream. Exactly what our family of four needed for our excursions to Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and the American Cemetery.

Excellent home in great location

We really loved this house. It is one of the best VRBOs we have rented. It was perfectly clean, very up to date. A great example of quality construction, something I am a bit of an authority on. The only thing needed was written direction, in multiple languages, on how to operate the washer, dryer, and dishwasher. Other than that, this house is a great place to stay. Great location, comfortable bedding, clean; we would be quite happy to stay for several months.

Wonderful property

We loved our stay! The house itself is extremely well-organized and well-stocked. We were six and there was more than enough of everything. The linens and beds were very comfortable, and everything was very clean. We really appreciated all of the little touches, such as games for the kids, coffee and basics in the kitchen, and even small bottles of hand sanitizer. Plus, it was very nice to have parking on site and room for the kiddos to run around in the garden. The location is great - 5 minutes to the bakery and a grocery store, 10 minutes to centre-ville, with another small grocery store, and lovely restaurants and shops. Bayeux was a perfect base for our Normandy adventure, and the house was a perfect place to stay!
