A lovely house, comfortable bed & charming host. Superb location in a quiet street very close to the centre of Bayeux. But the parking space is awkward plus a few limitations in facilities & catering disappointed. The only public area available for use by guests is the lovely conservatory which is also walked through to access the front door. However, the table in there has been taken over by a huge number of indoor plants & the table is pushed against the sofa, so that leaves limited space to sit in folding chairs alongside the exercise bicycle. This didn’t impact our stay too much because we were out most of the time but it does detract from the overall feel. We were more disappointed by the room & catering facilities though. The WiFi was very weak & the English speaking TV channels didn’t work.Tea/coffee facility is located on landing as no space in room, but the only way to boil water was by using a microwave, which was quite noisy to use next to other rooms. We did have breakfast on our first morning but at a very expensive18euros per person, the offering really didn’t justify the cost so we didn’t have it again. In contrast to that we stayed at another B&B after we moved further north to Carentan where the breakfast offered muesli and cereals in addition to everything offered here, and that breakfast was included within the price of the room, which was also far more spacious along with ‘in room’ tea/coffee making facility and a kettle, plus a spacious public lounge.

Mireille was a wonderful host, she made everyone feel special. She put out an exquisite spread each morning for breakfast, provided excellent recommendations for local sites and restaurants, the property was spotlessly clean. We would highly recommend Friendly Home Bayeux to anyone visiting this area, you won’t be disappointed. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a lovely property hosted by Marielle. We were in the upstairs bedroom but she had an elevator installed so it was no problem. The room (overlord room) had a direct view of the Bayeux Cathedral. It looked fantastic in the evening light. The room was rather overdone in the WW2 theme, but overall a very comfortable stay. It is literally across the road from the cathedral and tapestry museum with lots of shops and cafes nearby. The plus for us was laundry and an onsite car park

We stayed here for several days. This property is exceedingly comfortable and the attention to details by the owner is noticeable. I recommend this situation at my highest level, I hope you will agree. Spacious room, excellent bed, walkable to many enjoyable places, city, dining, train, river walk, museums, fabulous. It is almost like being at home, very fine.

This is a bed and breakfast in the host's home. We had the superior double room with a view of the cathedral. It made a wonderful base for our tours of the D-Day beaches, Mont St. Michel and the town of Bayeux. Mireille is a friendly host who works hard to make your stay enjoyable. She did our laundry for us and made sure we had breakfast before heading out for site seeing each morning.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Mireille went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her breakfasts were amazing. The superior double room has a beautiful view of the Bayeux Cathedral. Everything within Bayeux...the tapestry, the Cathedral, the restaurants...is within a 10 to 15 minute walk.

A must stay in Bayeux!
Our stay was outstanding. Our host was so thoughtful and accommodating to our young baby. She made us a beautiful breakfast and the room was so nice! The room was large, has plenty of space for a baby bed and a nice shower. Our room even had a view of the cathedral! The house was small with just a few rooms and plenty of space to hang out around the home. The location was great. Just a three minute walk to the center of town, but down a side street so not loud at all. When we go back to visit Bayeux we will absolutely stay here. There was free parking right outside, airco in the room, and lots of maps of nearby things to do. The tapestry was also right down the street.Highly, highly recommended staying here!

Perfect location! The view of the Bayeux Cathedral is astounding, and the wondrous Bayeux Tapestry is a few minutes walk. Best of all, this is one of the cleanest places I've stayed in France. The owner has thought of amenities that really help international travelers, like bedside USB charging ports (no plug needed), a quality hair dryer, and a wine bottle opener.

Hidden Gem with a view to die for
If you NEED a fast and stable internet connection, then this place is not for you. It is very slow and patchy. However, everything else is great. Modern, very clean and tidy with friendly staff. Comfortable bed with excellent linen and towels. try and get the Overlord room as this is a queen size bed with huge TV, triple sofa, armchair and a view out of the window to the Cathedral to die for. I did not have the breakfast as I believe that €15 per person per day is expensive but not having it, I cannot comment as to it's value for money. There is a kettle with free tea and an ice machine in the public areas should you need an obligatory cuppa post a busy day. A 2 minute walk to the Tapestry museum and the centre of town this is well positioned not only for walking into Bayeux but also, as I did, for using as a base to travel to the wider Normandy area. Even Mont-St-Michel is only a 1.25 hr drive. Overall, I really enjoyed this hidden gem.
