Amazing refuge from sombre funeral
Communication was solid throughout; shower larger than photos and so relaxing; one could get lost in the comfortable bed, and the common area coffees and waters, etc., really hit the spot on a hot Summer trip.

Beautiful self-serve property. Our room was very large with a sitting area, and a bathroom so big you could roller skate in it. Remember your key codes, as I almost locked myself out on the back porch for a while. Would definitely stay here again, and good location to walk downtown. On a busy street, but white noise machines in the room. Honor bar for happy hour. Great place.

Very happy with this last-minute booking. The room is clean, spacious, and lovely. Great shower and the bed was incredibly comfortable with soft linens and plenty of pillows. All questions are answered quickly via text after check in. Will definitely stay here again!

The virtual check in was certainly unique and while it seemed we received text messages from a ‘customer service team’- there was no reply when we reported difficulty and a mishap with the door lock. Definitely good value for the price. We did enjoy our VERY brief stay!

The hosts were so responsive, friendly, and helpful. They responded by text to my questions within minutes!!! The whole house was absolutely spotless and beautifully decorated. Our hosts went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. We loved the vintage charm of this place! The hosts have done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences (Wifi, TV, a guest amenity cabinet with essentials you might have forgotten, ice maker, a coffee bar , a refrigerator stocked with water and wine). I especially loved the beautiful porches where we drank our morning coffee surrounded by beautiful trees covered with Spanish moss. We were able to walk to the waterfront in about 10 minutes. Beaufort, SC is a gem. We walked all through the town and surrounding streets. Circa 1785 was perfect for our weekend getaway.

Wonderful Overnight Stay
Our stay at this beautiful place was amazing. We were immediately stunned at how well done the remodel of this historical home was for a comfortable, elegant stay. Everything was so clean, gorgeous, comfortable, and yet still had many historical elements preserved. The location was wonderful and convenient to downtown. We can’t wait to stay again.

I recently stayed at circa 1785 and had a fantastic experience! The self-check-in process was seamless, and the attention to detail was impressive. we really enjoyed having a glass of wine on the second-floor piazza, as well as morning coffee on the back porch with views of the waterfront across the street. The room itself was spacious with grand ceilings and you could feel the homes history. We enjoyed the Marble bathrooms with rain showers and the beds were incredibly comfortable; it felt like sleeping on a cloud. I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

Wow! You can feel the history of this building as soon as you lay eyes on it, and definitely when you step inside onto the original hardwood flooring. I love staying in spaces that embody the essence and charm of the town or city, and Circa did not disappoint. The room was beautifully decorated and all of the amenities were at my fingertips. It felt high end, and the bed was incredibly comfortable! I have never stayed at a hotel without on site staffing, but after visiting Circa 1785... I have to say I almost prefer it. I certainly didn't miss waiting in line to check in! I had some questions during my stay, but all were answered via text very quickly by the team. They even gave me some fabulous food and drink recommendations. I will be recommending this stay to others and certainly encourage anyone taking the time to read this to not second guess booking a room. Thanks, Team Circa 1785!!
