Cottage/Tiny House Living Accommodation in Beaufort for Cost-conscious Traveler

The Pigeon Nest Cottage is ideal for the cost-conscious traveler or couple who appreciates a cozy, homey venue for a getaway, and only a 10 minute walk to restaurants and shops. The little 220 ft.²addition fits perfectly in the new craze for "tiny house" living. It is connected to owners home by a 20x18 ft screened private veranda.
Situated in the Pigeon Point area of Beaufort close to the historic downtown, Chateau Petite Cottage aka Pigeon Nest Cottage is a small place with a lot of heart. The cottage is nestled among ancient Live Oak trees draped with Spanish moss, across the road from the Beaufort River. It offers our guests: a kitchenette (microwave oven, sink, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, 2 burner portable stove, and dishes,pots n' pans); coffee and breakfast bars for your first morning here, a bathroom with a shower and bath towels (including beach towels) beach chairs, and boogie boards are in shed..
. Bedroom/day room with a very comfortable daybed, that can either be used as 2 twins or a king size ; an HD flat-screen TV with cable channels; WIFI access; a bistro table with 2 chairs; in addition, you'll have access to a front-loading washer and dryer.
Outside, the cottage offers a large yard surrounded by a white picket fence ....as well as a private screened gazebo for guests .and a separate patio seating area with a table and chairs for relaxing and enjoying the flowers .
. A whimsical flower garden is in a continual process of "being complete."
In February of 2015 Diane's younger sister Bonnie passed away, and it spurred the idea of a memory garden for her.... a meandering path, graced with ferns, roses, daisies, hydrangeas, misc pretty flowers, as well as a precious pink flowered bush called "little Bonnie" have all been planted with love. You will also find teapots, bunnies and assorted little treasures to make you smile. Please spend time enjoying........ my flowers want to see you...

You also will get to have the delightful experience of meeting my 2 feline roomies Miss Maggie Grace, and Good Golly Miss Molly, the long haired calico. They love to be petted.!!! They are indoor outdoor cats, So please don’t let your dogs outside unattended.

The property was quaint, with many birds and a few kitties! I really enjoyed it. We couldn’t sit outside much in the evening due to the mosquitoes but I’m sure it is better in the fall. Diane's property was so comfy and relaxing. The location was amazing. It was a small neighborhood but close to many the downtown area. It was the best of both worlds. Diane herself was a blessing. The power was out when we arrived but she had phone us ahead of time to let us know and she provided what she could until the power resumed to help us with our arrival. I appreciated her friendliness when we interacted by phone and in person. She is a wonderful lady.

The perfect getaway for a single traveler with her pup
I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here. Diane had everything we needed and more in the tiny home which was perfect for me and my big pup! The neighborhood is so pretty with a great park for daily walks. Sunsets at the point each afternoon are a must and the garden on the property was lush and sprinkled with my favorite, sunflowers. Charming Cottage
Adorable little cottage with everything you need to be comfortable and cozy for a night or a week's stay. The owner lives right next door and she had a wealth of information on the quaint Pidgeon Point neighborhood, downtown Beaufort which is so close by, restaurant recommendations and even real estate information for those considering a move to Beaufort. The fenced courtyard full of beautiful flowers, bird feeders, statues and tables and various seating was done so tastefully and created the perfect atmosphere for me and my wife to enjoy coffee in the morning while our lab mix (Bodie) enjoyed watching birds and even 2 friendly cats in the fenced yard. We highly recommend a stay here and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Celebrated a big mil birthday with my friend and our two pups. Diane went out of her way to make our experience at her tiny home one of the highlights of the weekend. Her tiny home, surrounding gardens and outdoor veranda will always be remembered for how welcomed we felt. She even left dog biscuits for our pups A visit to her store, Mermaid's Chandelier, is also highly recommended for great bargains.
