Beautiful Secluded Cabin
The Redbird Hideaway is a beautiful place to unwind with family. We drank out coffee each morning on the covered porch listening to birds. It was cozy without being crowded and close enough to mammoth cave and lake nolin for us to get some hiking and fishing in during our stay. Highly recommend.

Perfect for a family retreat!
Our family had a great weekend visiting Mammoth Cave and the cabin was perfect for us! It was very secluded, wooded and peaceful and the outdoor space was as comfortable and cozy as the indoor space. If we ever come back to visit Mammoth Cave, we would definitely stay here again!

Nice secluded cabin
The cabin was very nice. Back in the woods and very secluded. Kids loved the playground, parents made bonfires every night. Make sure to bring a lighter and newspaper to start your fires. We had 6 people in our group in it accommodated all of us comfortable. Our girls (4 and 6 year olds) slept in the twin bed in the little nook right by the king bed upstairs. Our other 2 guests stayed in bed downstairs. Another nice feature it’s about half mile away from Nolin Lake Damm and they got a nice steam and playground on the bottom side of the damm. It’s about 30 minute drive to Mammoth Cave visitor center which we didn’t mind. It’s is a dry county so remember to pick up alcohol which would be about 20 miles away or just do what we did and pick it up off the Cave City Exit off I-65. Lots of hiking trails near by close to Nolin Lake. So all in all we really loved our stay.

We chose the Redbird Hideaway for its amenities and location. Easy access to the caves in the surrounding areas. We enjoyed the fire pit, play set, and the perch. Thanks for everything!

Perfect weekend getaway
If you're looking for a beautiful, convenient place to stay in the Mammoth Cave area, this place is for you! Our family loved hanging at the camp fire at night. Mornings were peaceful while sitting on the porch drinking coffee and listening to the birds. There is a dam just a couple of minutes down the road with a playground and picnic area. Great spot to explore! I highly recommend making reservations as soon as you can, you won't be disappointed!

Perfect Cute Cabin
We stayed here to visit Mammoth Cave National Park and it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s a very easy 30 minute drive to the visitor center and there is no traffic. The cabin sits way off the road, it felt very private, safe and clean! It was the perfect some for two parents and their two kids with plenty of sleeping arrangements (including a cool Murphy bed) and a comfortable king sized bed. The kitchen was clean, everything was well-stocked and the temperature inside the cabin was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well, with a large tub. The property has a nice fire pit with comfortable chairs and aging lights surrounding fire area. We had fun making s’mores. We didn’t use the covered area that’s part of the property but it looked really fun as well. Can’t go wrong with this place! Super fun.

Beautiful Getaway Cabin!
We thoroughly enjoyed the Redbird Cabin as a home-base while we spent several days exploring Mammoth Cave - both cave tours and hiking. The cabin was spotless, cute and comfy. We especially enjoyed evenings at the fire pit. Redbird couldn’t be any nicer!!

Highly recommend the Redbird Hideaway for a couple or for a family! The host has thought of all of your potential needs and then some for a relaxing getaway. Cozy and beautiful
The cabin itself is so clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was very well equipped (it even had marshmallow roasting forks). As lovely as the cabin itself is, the outdoor area with the swing and fire pit were the best part. The best part of our stay was the night we had a marshmallow roast and sat out until late watching the fireflies. Even though neighbors are close, it feels so private. We even saw deer one morning. It was close to all the sites we wanted to see. Lake Nolan is beautiful, and we were able to get to Mammoth Cave in about 15-20 minutes. I wish we had been able to stay longer.

What a great place to stay. The cabin is clean and close to Mammoth Cave National Park. It comfortably slept my family of 4 and we got to see some nearby wildlife. The host responded to my inquiries very quickly and was easy to work with.

60th Anniversary
My brother and I took our parents here to celebrate their 60th anniversary. The Redbird was a cozy home away from home. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. I loved drinking coffee on the front porch while rocking in the rocking chairs and listening to all the birds in the morning. And I equally loved sitting around the campfire in the evenings. One day we visited Nolin State Park and we visited Mammoth Cave National Park on another day. Both parks are located nearby and are beautiful places. The beds were super comfortable and we slept peacefully. We ate several meals at the Redbird and found everything we needed to accommodate our cooking. The Redbird was just the right place for us.

Very clean, and nice we enjoyed the property and stay, it doesn’t really sleep 7 like it says in Vrbo ad but it does sleep 5 comfortably, it needs Atleast a queen bed in down stairs bedroom really, and a couch that makes a bed, then it would be better!! They had mouse traps set out in bedroom and there was a dead mouse in it been there a few days atleast haha, but other than that it was nice and clean, also the water for a shower could of been hotter because you turn the hot wide open and adjust cold but the setting on water heater is way too low in my opinion, over all it’s a very nice place and I would stay again if I needed to! I’d rate it a 6-10 because of dead mouse, only warm shower not hot, and small bed down stairs, and no couch bed!! But thank you it’s a nice place and the outside lights and fire pit is great!!

Great Mammoth Getaway
We booked this cabin for our first family road trip to Mammoth Caves. The cabin met our expectations. It says it's able to sleep 7, we were tight on space with our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 children), but were not inside much during the day for it to matter. The cabin itself was cozy and decorated beautifully. Unfortunately, I feel the communication with the host could have been better. While we were there, there was construction on the property that we were not informed about. 2 of the 3 mornings we were there a semi truck with gravel was dumped into the driveway near the cabin before we were even out of bed. An entire day and a half there was excavator and bobcat work on the property moving gravel and creating a new driveway - it was loud and was not ideal for having 3 children who wanted to play outside. I wish the host would have informed us that this work would be taking place during our visit, a little communication would go a long way, instead of waking up to the sound of dumping gravel.
