Bring your boat and slide right into the Suwannee River from your back door and cruise up and down the river looking for a good place to fish or a beautiful blue cold water spring to cool off. The lodging is a very comfortable 3 bedroom 2 bath mobile home on 5 acres on the river bank - very quiet except when you are on the dock and a big boat motors by. The house is fully furnished with all linens, kitchen utensils, soaps and paper products. TV is ROKU on 55 inch screen. Wi-Fi available.
Not many neighbors in the hood - NW 50 Terrace is lined with houses that are on the river. Most residents are working or retired - a few children but mostly adults. Very quiet, no one will be knocking on your door. There are no side walks or walking paths - just some scrub oaks, palmetto bushes and the river. No night clubs or bars. Closest church is five miles away. One (and only) restaurant in Bell is Akins - be sure to go there if you want some really good Southern cooking. Grocery store in Bell is Sun Stop - used to be Scags Grocery. They have really good home made sausage. Try it with some grits. You will love it. If you don’t bring a boat and want to visit a great springs, Hart Springs is between Bell and Trenton. It is managed by Gilchrist County. Take your own towels. Used to be free but may charge a small admission fee now. Bring your own fishing gear - buy bait in Bell. Clean your fish on the table by the dock - faucet is very close for your convenience. Don’t leave those fish heads on the ground - never know what might come at night to eat them. Bag them in a plastic baggie (just like you would at home) and put in the garbage can for pick up by Waste Pro on Wednesdays. PLEASE fly your fish on the grill in patio or the gas cooker by the river. As we all know, cooking fish inside leaves an odor that you won’t enjoy with your next meal. We hope you enjoy your stay here and will come again.
