There are numerous local country walks straight from the doorstep, the High Peak cycle trail is a ten minute drive or twenty five minute cycle ride away and other historic towns such as Matlock, Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Castleton are all within a half hour drive.
Peak District walks and cycle rides from Edale and Ashbourne as well as the historic spa town of Buxton, home of Pooleās cavern and the Victorian opera house can be reached in around forty minutes.
