There are 3 local pubs a 2 minute walk from the property, and the thriving market town centre can be reached by a five-minute walk; with its picturesque award winning main street, shops, cafés, pubs, restaurants, takeaways, cinema, bingo hall, supermarkets and the world heritage Derwent Valley mill sites including Struts Mills and Arkwright's Mill (in Cromford, ten minutes’ drive).
There are numerous local country walks straight from the doorstep, the High Peak cycle trail is a ten minute drive or twenty five minute cycle ride away and other historic towns such as Matlock, Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Castleton are all within a half hour drive.
Peak District walks and cycle rides from Edale and Ashbourne as well as the historic spa town of Buxton, home of Poole’s cavern and the Victorian opera house can be reached in around forty minutes.
The bustling historic centre of Derby is eleven miles away and has cinemas, bowling, shopping malls, escape rooms and many more attractions.
Alton Towers theme park is less than an hour's drive as is Nottingham City Centre. Chatsworth House, Heage Windmill, the Blue John Mines, Pickfords House, Calke Abbey, the Heights of Abraham's and Gulliver's Kingdom are also in easy reach.
