Never got to stay as it was cancelled 30 min before we arrived
We pulled in to the property. It was a nice area. We checked the message on how to get in. We saw we had a message from the owner. He said due to storms going through, his cleaner didn’t make it. He could maybe go over to clean. We drove through bad storms so we understood. We told him we’d go get a bite to eat. He said actually I probably can’t make it either to clean. You guys can go check it. He said we could stay there and he would refund it if we wanted to do some cleaning. We walked in and back out. Absolutely not would we stay there after someone else had stayed in the bed and was never cleaned. We tried to get everything refunded. We got $101 refunded but we’re waiting on the other $43 that had to do with taxes and fees. It’s now been a month. We’ve never been refunded the rest. The owner didn’t seem to care. He rarely responded. We tried talking with VRBO people too. So far, no one has been able to help us get our money. What is crazy is we arrived in Bentonville, 7 hours from home, and had no place to stay 30 minutes from the time we were to check in. We NEVER stayed and yet we still paid $43 we never got refunded. How did we have to pay anything when the owner cancelled on us? We will still be working on this refund that we are entitled too. Thank you.
