The hotel is basic but clean. The heated bathroom floor was a delight. While the food was good, it was expensive and one of the servers was quite rude - did not acknowledge our presence and sighed when we asked for a sandwich - treating us like a nuisance. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay. We would have liked if tea and coffee were available in the room.

This is more like a hostel than a hotel. I was fooled by what appeared to be a good discount, but all the discount did was bring the price down to the budget level that this hotel/hostel represents. Small and very basic room was at least clean. Wasn't even a bottle of water or a box tissues. Breakfast was decent (no croissants) but extrememly busy. On two occasions I returned from getting a coffee to find someone had pinched my seat. Toilets in restaurant (more a canteen really) were out of order and had to go next door to use toilet. No bar to speak of. Reception staff were unfriendly and slow. One poor bloke seemed to be there every time I came and went for my two night stay. No wonder he was so miserable. The location is good.

I wish we had known the hop on-hop off buses start their day right around the corner. More good news: the Berlin Hofbrauhaus is about 100 m from the hotel.

This hotel is less than 5 minute walk away from two shopping centers and 10 minutes from subway station. Restaurants are within walking distance. Breakfast is good and generous. One of the three elevators was not working during our four-day stay. The staff acted more like immigration officers. Unfriendly and rude. There is no snack bar as listed in Expedia. No water is available after breakfast time.
