Convenient to DESY-Zeuthen
Eichwalde is a quiet, residential town. I was planning a couple of long days at DESY-Zeuthen, one S-Bahn stop south of Eichwalde (or a nice 45 minute walk). I typically stay in Berlin proper, but wanted to give this a try. Anyway, I had a small, but very nice, single room. Checked in late via the intercom and key lock-box. I had a German speaker with me, but it seems likely it would have worked in any case. Breakfast was quiet, food and coffee were excellent.

Empfang war ausgesprochen nett. Es ist alles da, was man fĆ¼r eine Nacht braucht. Allerdings war es ziemlich kalt im Zimmer (November!). - Ein Hotel, das mit der NƤhe zum Flughafen wirbt, sollte nicht erst ab 7:00 Uhr FrĆ¼hstĆ¼ck anbieten.

Personal ist sehr nett. Zimmer sind ā€žspartanischā€œ ausgestattet. Betten bzw. Matratzen sind etwas hƤrter. In Zimmer 18 steht irgendein Gestell aus Metall. Sollte einen Stuhl darstellen ? Keine Ahnung. Zimmer 17 hat eine normale Bank, ebenso die 16. Die 18 aber halt nicht. Im Bad an der Decke Spinnenweben. Der TV ist ziemlich klein. HeiƟes Wasser in der Dusche benƶtigt eine Minute bis es war wird. Jeden Tag eine kleine Flasche Wasser auf dem dem Zimmer, sehr nett.
