We booked Stable Cottage for a staycation after having our original holiday abroad cancelled at short notice. We are so glad that we were able to stay at Liz's amazing accommodation and experience the beautiful Scottish Borders! Firstly, the accommodation was exceptional value for money given the bank holiday timings, and Liz was very helpful in sending an email a week before with all the check-in details and a location map. The accommodation is set within a stunning country estate with an abundance of wildlife, including various birds, hares and deer - it's the perfect place to get away and relax. The cottage was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed and much more, such as a Nespresso coffee machine with pods, and a lovely welcome tray with local honey, biscuits and cake. The kitchen has all you need for a fully self-catered break, including a wide range of utensils, crockery and appliances. The bathroom has an amazing shower with high water pressure and big, fluffy towels. The living area is cosy and spacious with a range of DVDs if there's nothing on TV, which we watched on two nights. The bedroom is also spacious with a very large comfy bed and huge wardrobe/storage space. The cottage is also well-heated throughout for a comfortable stay. There is also a handy visitor guide with all the local recommendations and information you could need - the suggestions for places to visit were particularly useful, including Eyemouth and St Abbs, which I would definitely recommend. Overall we had an amazing stay at Stable Cottage, would recommend wholeheartedly and would love to return in future!
