Our beautiful home exudes hospitality and warmth the minute you step inside.
Built in 1910 as a "Painted Lady" of the era, the house is perfectly situated just two blocks from our lovely downtown making it a perfect distance for a quiet evening stroll.
The property is surrounded by old apple and plum trees and full lilac bushes that scent the air in the spring and offer shade in the summer.
One of my favorite features of the house is the very deep claw-footed tub in the upstairs bathroom. After a good day of outdoor activities it is a welcome place for a sudsy soak! Then make yourself a delicious cup of tea and relax with a good book in one of the three comfortable sitting rooms.
The backyard offers privacy and quiet moments under the stars while making plans for your next adventure such as hiking in the Crazy Mountains, fishing on our rivers or heading out for a day trip to the park. ( Yellowstone is just 1hr 27 minutes to the north entrance) Please help yourself to the many brochures and maps we have left for you to use while creating your sightseeing and adventures.
Some of the many attractions include:
WALKING DISTANCE: Dornix Park ( walking trails)
Lion's Park featuring a full playground, swimming pool, ball field and picnic tables.
FLY FISHING: Boulder River, Yellowstone River. We have left cards for a wonderful guide.
NATIONAL FORESTS: Big Timber Canyon ( in the Crazy Mountains), Natural Bridge ( Boulder River Valley)
YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK: (entrance 101.97 mi)
HOT SPRINGS: Chico ( Pray MT) , Yellowstone ( on the way to the park)
We also need to let you know that we have a resident outdoor cat named Lizzie that keeps watch over the backyard. She is quite shy and deaf so don't be surprised if she doesn't visit with you as she has her very own little house under the lilac tree. I come to feed her every day through the garage so I will not intrude on your privacy but do hope we get to meet you and answer any question you may have about our home and tips on best places to visit.
