There were ants crawling all over the a/c unit when we opened the curtain in the morning. We were in the second to last unit on the 4th floor and were awoken multiple times in the middle of the night by people getting ice it was so nosey. A drunk person tried opening our door after doing so. No towels in the pool in the evening or the morning, when I went to the front desk to get some I was directed to "go to the gym to get some". When we checked out we were never asked "How was your stay" just "Okay, I've got you checked out." I will say the remainder of the hotel appeared very clean. But would not stay here in the future.

One of the nicer hotels I have stayed in quite a while! The king room we reserved had an amazing shower and a huge comfortable bed. Our accommodations had all Dove products in the room and that was definitely a plus! The breakfast was ample and this property had a very reasonable deposit requirement as well. I would absolutely stay again if in the area. Very close to the convention center and nestled nicely between some businesses and a quiet residential area.

Superior Hotel Experience!
My experiences with hotels have been less than desirable for some time. However, I was very pleasantly surprised with the overall stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham, AL (Fultondale). The hotel was extremely clean, the room was spacious and the front desk personnel were welcoming. I would book another stay at this location anytime.

The room was excellent and clean! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the hallway carpets are old, dirty and torn. However, inside the room was clean..very clean!! The bed was very comfortable too.

I was sad to see the pool closed. Also the A/C thermostat in the room was messed up. Did not read in the temperature settings so you had to guess. Notified the lady at the front desk but she was unable to fix it.

This was perfect for us. The pool was so warm! The room was terrific. The staff was helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate for what we expected from a hotel of this sort. We will definitely stay here again if in the area, and we'll be more inclined to stay at a Holiday Inn when available.
