Restored stone farm - traditional features with a modern twist - shared pool
Genévrier is one of four gites at Au Coin Des Arbres, set in the courtyard of restored farm with a large swimming pool and extensive grounds. Footpaths and cycle tracks criss-cross the surrounding meadows and woodland making the ideal escape for nature lovers or outdoor pursuits.
Outdoor games including disc golf, vollleyball and kubb will keep the family entertained. Wifi extends across the site and within the gite.
Genévrier has its own travertine marble private outdoor dining terrace with barbecue. Inside the open plan living space blends modern chic with the original oak beams of the old farm. With a huge comfy sofa to sink into you can watch French and English channels on the flatscreen tv. The kitchen includes electric oven, microwave, gas hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and a further double sofa bed on the adjacent mezzanine.
Guests can access a shared laundry room with washing machine, iron and ironing board.
Genévrier looks on to the lawned courtyard with an abundance of flowers and herbs in pots and includes a shared covered dining space. And the view to the rear is over to the meadows and woods beyond. The pond is full of fish, frogs and other wildlife which the children love (under supervision).
Tony and Lisa live on-site and offer assistance as required to make your holiday extra special. We can help with restaurant recommendations and reservations and also give you suggestions of the many places to visits in the area.
The region is full of historic towns (Monpazier, Villereal, Monflanquin, Belvès and Sarlat), hundreds of medieval castles, markets and excellent places to eat. Outdoor lovers can canoe down the Dordogne, take to the trees at Parc en Ciel or walk, run and cycle along quiet paths and lanes. The summer season offers night markets, music festivals, torch-lit tours of the towns and antique fairs. People come back to stay time and again because two weeks is never enough to everything the region has to offer.
