60th Birthday Celebration
We chose the Jute as a base to celebrate a special birthday in Scotland and where so glad we did. It’s an absolutely beautiful location. We could not of wished for more, everything we needed was on hand. We have stayed in a lot of Vrbo accommodations around the world, and this one definitely has five stars. We hope to return for another visit soon.

Oregonians in Blair
We needed to find a place quickly due to illness of our planned host. We were delighted to find The Jute Store and loved our week there. The views, the heron in the trees watching for fish, the comfortable beds, the kitchen and laundry, were all wonderful. We so enjoyed the fire in the mornings as we sat and had morning coffee and tea.

Fa-bu-lous.. - for us - and the doggie
What a lovely place tucked away on the river with fabulous view and sound of the waterfall and walks at our doorstep.. place was large .. quirky and immaculately clean .. Tim and Louise were excellent communicators. Great spot .. base for exploring the area - with fantastic butcher to stop at on the morning dog walk. A wonderful large fenced yard for the dog to run free across the pathway.. Look forward to returning soon. Thank you !

Half term break.
An excellent property in a lovely location by the river. The sitting room was a lovely place for my wife to relax during the day with the log burner while the kids and I travelled to Glenshee to ski. There are also some wonderful river side walls to be enjoyed. We made full use of the large family kitchen in the evenings and some of their board games too. The hosts had been very thoughtful in fully equipping the property. It would be a lovely place to return to.

Best Stay
We stayed over Christmas period and found the cottage to be delightful, comfortable and like a home away from home. We were able to fi e everything needed in a well stocked kitchen to make a fabulous family Christmas dinner. We were so surprised to find the host had thoughtfully provided a real Christmas tree. I hope to return in the summer if possible.

Fantastic two weeks at the Jute Store
We loved staying at the Jute Store for the two weeks at the end of August with the therapeutic sound of the river flowing by. It was an excellent base for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside with trips to the seaside and Edinburgh very manageable as well. Louise and Tim provided helpful information about walks and activities and just walking along the river into Blairgowrie was very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

A perfect place to stay that is central to major attractions
This was our first time to go on holiday to Scotland. We wanted to stay somewhere that was central to the major attractions and Blairgowrie fitted that perfectly. Staying at Brooklin Mill exceeded our expectations. The mill is massive which was perfect for our family and well behaved pooch. Louise, the owner (who lives next door) was very welcoming and was on hand if we needed.

Quiet atmosphere to enjoy your Scotland vacation
This property is amazing. This historic mill turned vacation rental is located off the beaten path next to a beautiful river that provided the hydro eclectic power for the house- so cool. The history of the mill is well documented in the provided literature that taught us about the area and other sites to see while in Scotland. The property is clean, quiet, and comfortable. There were six of us adults on extended vacation at this property. It had more than enough room for everyone and the kitchen had everything one needed to cook for all of us. There were also plenty of supplies (towels, linens, laundry detergent, etc). Just be aware if anyone has mobility issues, there are two flights of stairs in the Jute House. The proximity of the house to Blairgowrie was perfect. There is a path from the property to walk into Blairgowrie to get essentials or to explore the area. Blairgowrie itself is small and social-very enjoyable. The major Scottish attractions are about an hour or two drive from the property, but well worth the time. It’s a 25-30 minute drive to Perth where you can catch the train to get to all major areas for sightseeing if you don’t want the drive. Thanks, Louise, for everything! We will definitely rent this property again if/ when we return to Scotland. Until then...Cheers!

Authentic retreat
We've spent half term holidays in the Jute Store and found it ideal in many respects. The apartment is in an amazing secluded location right at the river. It is extremely spacious, more than one could assume by the pictures, and the combination of the historic building and really well maintained internals make it the most authentic place we stayed at. Both the living room and the kitchen were very well equipped, way more than one would wish for. The guide books and information on the local area came extremely handy, quite a help for the unprepared. As it was our first trip to Scotland the location was ideal for day trips by car to Edinburgh, St Andrews and Aberdeen or alternatively to the south side of the Cairngorms for some hiking. But the town is also just a short walk away. It was fascinating to be so close to nature but the town as well.
