The Beach House at Wall Point

Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

Make this 100-year-old quintessential Maine cottage your next vacation retreat! Boasting modern updates and breathtaking oceanfront views, you'll have everything you need.

Gaze across the scenic waters of Lewis Cove and Linekin Bay and out to the open ocean. During the day, stroll to the large and open partially-covered deck that features expansive views of Linekin Bay, Cabbage Island, and the open ocean. Enjoy this tranquil getaway featuring 280 feet of private shorefront, and its own beautiful tidal beach. Gather the kids to stroll on the private beach between mid and high tide to collect shells or sea glass at low tide to remember their time here. You will also be near downtown Boothbay Harbor's charming shops and restaurants.

Perched up on the rocks, barely 25 feet from the water, and surrounded by spruce trees, this two-level cottage sits near the tip of Wall Point on nearly an acre of land. You'll be just a few steps from your beach and other incredible open-water vistas, only one mile south of the Appalachee and Lobster Cove Preserves and two miles east of bustling downtown Boothbay Harbor.

Very rustic, charming, and full of Midcoast Maine character, the living space is warm and welcoming after a day spent on the water. Step inside to find antique hardwood floors, recline on the plush blue sofa with one of the provided board games, to keep the coastal fog at bay.

Sip your coffee each morning on the wrap-around deck, where you can watch the sunrise over Linekin Bay to the east and see the open ocean to the south. Sit down with the newspaper at the bistro table or head back indoors to prepare breakfast in the kitchen - an eclectic space with a dining table and plenty of cookware for eggs, bacon, and pancakes.

Spend sparkling summer days in the great outdoors, wading in the cool waters, launching kayaks from the tidal beach, and preparing the gas grill for a local haddock and lobster lunch. Grab a seat on the deck just in time for sunset, and spend the evening with the comfort of WiFi and cable TV.

The bedrooms have exposed plank walls, a steady stream of natural light, and all the ambience of a country cabin.

Thanks to its spectacular Wall Point location on the shores of Lewis Cove and Linekin Bay, this summer cottage is an ideal destination for boating enthusiasts, anglers, and hikers. Take morning strolls through the nearby Appalachee and Lobster Cove Preserves, or paddle through Linekin Bay to reach Cabbage Island, Squirrel Island, or Damariscove Island in the open Atlantic Ocean. Eager to spend a day in town? You'll be just two miles from the heart of Boothbay Harbor, where you can book an excursion with Tidal Transit Kayak, peruse the quaint local shops and galleries, walk the coastline at Barrett Park, or sample some famous lobster rolls. The gorgeous Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens are also just five miles northwest.

And the best part of your vacation home? Linekin Bay Resort is only a short stroll away! Maine's oldest sailing resort features a beautiful deck bar and a restaurant open to the public, all the while giving guests a prime look at Linekin Bay, the outer islands, and the glistening ocean waters. Purchasing a day pass ($35) there will also grant you access to all its amenities, which include a heated oceanfront saltwater pool, kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, sailing (for an additional fee), tennis/pickleball, cornhole, and an outdoor firepit.

The famous shores of Midcoast Maine will be just outside your door - reserve your unforgettable summer vacation in Boothbay Harbor today!

Great View and Location but a bit lacking in other ways
It is a cute cabin but needs some serious maintenance. The entry slope would be improved by stepping stones along the very appropriate gravel path. It is a steep path and the stones can be slippery and awkward. The inside front door would benefit from a "wipe-your-feet" mat. The microwave, dishwasher and stove are nicely upgraded although we only used the microwave as we were just 2 and mostly ate out. There are 2 good heaters, one up and one down but they do not have fans so they do not heat up the larger spaces. Do heat a bedroom with door closed. Since there is no washer or dryer it is difficult to dry any clothing that gets wet in the rain or is washed by hand. I had to wash one bath towel by hand and it took 3 days to dry. Some clothing I hung very near the stationary heater and still took 2 days to dry. The house had been cleaned but only in main areas: Kitchen and bathroom and wood floors. Lower shelves, exposed wooden areas etc were very dusty and/or full of old spider webs, droppings, dead insects etc. There was nothing available to clean those spaces but paper towels. There was no entry instructions sheet posted nor notes for the house. When the breaker tripped as we tried to use the third heater for warmth we were able to find it and restore power but it was not marked. As many of the electrical outlets appear to be just on one circuit that should be noted. The shower is very difficult to regulate water temperature.

Decent
We love the cabin but were disappointed since our last visit. The double bed fell to the ground when I sat on it. Upon further investigation we found no slates under it. My husband put it back on the bedframe. Thede was a window with no glass and just plastic staped to it. Also the screen door had a hole in it that was there the last time we were there. 4 yrs ago. There were TONS of ants on the second floor. The cabin was clean when we entered and we loved the cabin life. The toaster was broken but maintenance delivered one immediately. The coffee pot was old and made terrible coffee. It, too, was same one 4 yrs ago which did work well then.

Very peaceful pretty view of the water. The wood burning stove was not working properly, we tried many times with different wood. Without heat in the cabin, it was pretty chilly at night. The space heater was helpful, but the circuit breaker could only handle it and nothing else requiring electric at the same time!

Cute cottage
Very clean and cozy. Loved the atmosphere and all the cute cottage decor. At low tide you can go down to the shore and enjoy the sandy/rocky shore. A quick 5 minute drive to downtown was perfect for us. Close yet private. There were kayaks under the deck that we would have liked to use but they were locked up. It’s smaller than it looks online but definitely sufficient. We were 3 adults and a toddler and it worked for us. Would stay here again soon.

A great place for our getaway
This home is rustic and more of a really comfy cabin than a house but it was perfect for us and our two teens. The water view and access if wonderful. It really had everything we needed. I would recommend replacing the metal deck table and chairs which were really unsightly and the broken chair was a hazard. Be aware that there is no privacy between the rooms or the bathroom. Every sound is heard loud and clear but its fine for a couple or family with kids.

Cozy home in excellent location
This home was very comfortable and cozy for our family of four. It is small, there are some tight spaces in the bathroom and you may need to duck your head when coming down the stairs! But it is full of seaside charm and has stunning views. Very easy to access the Boothbay peninsula and the hikes, shops and restaurants.

Loved the house,
however, communication with Vacasa (the property manager) is terrible. We tried to contact them 2 times for questions that we had and 1 time to report a leak coming from the upstairs shower and never got any response. The house is adorable and the view from the house is fantastic, however because of the property manager, I wouldn't stay here again.

Cottage on the water
Property was as pictured online, very quaint and charming, views were better than expected. Loved the dining area, cute clean kitchen, and quirky kitchen wares. Bedrooms were fine, cold at night but quilts were very warm. We were not expecting only heat source to be wood burning stove or space heaters (we were there in Oct). In the listing it said ‘heaters’ but that wasn’t entirely clear. Could really use some window treatments in bedrooms, and a throw or two in the living room. We enjoyed our stay.

Boothbay Cottage
You can’t beat the location on the water with your own private beach and dock. A great place to put your kayaks and use to explore the bay with the wildlife all around the area. The closeness to the town of Boothbay which has plenty of shops and places to eat. The cottage is very rustic but clean. There was an ant problem at first but it went away after cleaning it up and Ant Traps were placed all over the cottage. I wouldn’t have more than 4 people in this cottage. The one bedroom had windows that didn’t open. Overall, it was great for my family of 4.

The perfect Maine coast getaway!

Very Rustic - Don't be charmed by the description
The description of the property is very misleading. We knew from the pictures that this would be "rustic", but didn't know how rustic until we arrived. There is no insulation in the walls and even though it was summer, it was an unusually cold day so it was very cold and damp inside. There was mold in multiple locations in the house and the "beach" is actually rocks covered in seaweed, so not usable. It also says you can sleep 6 people, which I would find very cramped. Also, most of the window screens had holes in them letting bugs in. The location was very nice. It was a quiet road and had the weather been nicer, the view is nice. But again, beware of the description - this home is more like a cabin/camp. For the price we paid, I did not expect it to be that way. I know others love this type of property. It just wasn't for us. Our biggest issue was the with the management company. Due to the mold, we asked to be relocated and were given a hard time with multiple excuses. So if you have an issue, just be aware that you will need to deal with a company that doesn't have customer service as they #1 concern.

Great location, rustic main charm but very "rustic"
You cant beat the location. Right on the water and only minutes away from Boothbay "downtown". The house has an antique charm but is very rustic. There were windows that didnt open or were missing screens. Bathroom is tiny and has a plastic insert shower. We truly enjoyed our stay but I did feel that the house should have been a more updated for the rates we payed.
