Overall it was a good stay, with a great location right on the beach. The kids club and the beach club bar was fantastic.
The staff were friendly and helpful, probably just overwhelmed at times such as at the breakfast buffet and reception. There was a Phizer conference on at the resort which took over a fair bit of the resort and was fairly loud.
I found the overall interactions with the front office not great. When we arrived it was certainly chaotic. We got to a checkin person we were told that the room when had chosen for our family of three wasn’t really suitable, and that we needed to upgrade from our twin room. I found the staff more focused on selling upgrades or the Accor club than helping up understand the resort and its facilities.
Checkout was worse. We called to get our bags picked up an hour out and let them know when we needed them collected. We went to checkout as was asked to queue, which had us waiting 30mins to checkout. Frustratingly the checkout queue wasn’t monitored and people pushed or jumped the queue. After waiting 30mins we needed to go and our bags had not arrived, which meant my wife had to go back to the room to collect them. After being told I couldn’t leave without a “bag tag”, they finally checked us out which took 2 mins.
I didn’t think paying for snorkeling or any board activities made sense at a 5 star resort. Staff were mostly great,
